I woke up and felt a body pressed against me. I remember it is Shuri from where we fell asleep here after our movie marathon. I slowly roll over in her arms and see her peaceful state of sleep.
Some of her braids are in her face. So I gently brush them back. Her lips are slightly parted and shes snoring softly. Seeing her so relaxed and comfortable makes my heart flutter.
All of a sudden my phone starts to vibrate and I see that it is mom. I softly but quickly get out of Shuri's hold and go over by the window to take the call so I don't wait her.
(Mom:Nat-bold, Raksha-regular)
"Hello" I say in a hushed tone.
"Hey. I was just checking in with you. How was the date?" She asked.
"It was perfect! She changed her lab around for me mom. You in that episode of FRIENDS where Ross takes Rachel to the planetarium because they missed their reservations, well anyways, she did that for me. She turned the top of her ceiling into the stars and had a projector set up against the wall for movie night under the stars. Uhg it was so perfect." I say smiling so much it hurts.
"Wow. She did better than most men on first dates. You got yourself a keeper there."
"I know. She makes me fall for her even more. I'm kinda scared because I don't really know how this relationship stuff works you know? I have gotten used to technology so I started googling the information so I had an idea. I just want to give her the word like she is for me." I say nervously.
"The more you learn about the world the better you will be. Don't worry sweetie."
"I am trying not to." I say
"How are the nightmares?" Mom asked.
I let out a sigh. "Um they are getting kinda better but not really. Last night was probably the first time I really slept through the night all the way."
"Does that have to do with a certain princess?" Mom asked.
"Yeah. She cuddled me all night and I think my body relaxed knowing it was safe and protected." I admit.
"Well that is a good thing though right?"
"I guess so but I won't always have her beside me. I know while you guys were here you heard pops talk about me possibly coming out to help with some missions." I say.
"You will figure it out. I'm here whenever you need me. I have to get going. Hope to talk to you soon."
"Okay, bye mom. Be safe." I say hanging up.
I walk over and slowly crawl into bed snuggling into Shuri. Her arms tightened around me. I feel her kiss the top of my head.
"Good morning beautiful" she say in her morning voice.
"Good morning baby" I say kissing the side of her jaw.
"You sleep okay?" She asked.
"Mmm best night sleep ever." I say giggling softly.
I feel her chest vibrate as she chuckled. "Good. How about we go get some breakfast before you start your training today." She says.
"5 more minutes of cuddles?" I ask pouting.
"Okay" she says kissing my pouty lips. I snuggled as close as I could possibly get and she began running her fingers up and down my spine sending shivers through me.
Five minutes ended up turning into thirty.
"Come on beautiful. We need to get up" Shuri say shaking me awake. After having a small whining session, I get up and she drags me to breakfast. We had missed the bigger breakfast so we went into the kitchen to see what the cooks make us something.
"So I have been meaning to ask, how are you liking being in Wakanda?" Shuri asks me.
"So far I have really enjoyed being here. I feel like I can be myself and not be judge. Training has been nice. For once I feel like i can use my abilities openly without getting tortured or yelled at. Plus you are here too" I say shyly.
"Would you want to stay here?" She asked.
"Yeah. I wouldn't mind if it wouldn't be a problem. I want to visit my parents and help with missions but as for where I live, I think I could be happy here. I feel at peace here" I tell her.
She ends up breaking out into a smile. "I know last night we talked about you being my girl. But I want to officially ask you to be my girlfriend Raksha. I don't want to go another day or even a minute without you being mine." Shuri says.
"I would love to be your girlfriend Shuri. There's nothing I would want more than to be yours. But before anything gets too serious, I want to have a conversation with you about everything that happened to me while I was in HYDRA." I say softly.
"Yeah of course. But you need to know, that nothing of have done will change my opinion of you Raksha." She says.
I just smile and nod my head. Soon our breakfast is brought out and we talk about anything and nothing.
"Oh hey, I've been meaning to ask, how's dad doing?" I asked her.
"Seems to be making a lot of progress. The trigger words are deeper in him than I expected but my algorithm seems to be working well like it did for you." She says.
"Have you designed his new arm yet?" I asked.
"I have started making out some blue prints but nothing set in stone yet. You wanna help in creating his arm?" She asks me.
My eyes go wide and I get nervous. "Uh.. I mean I would love to but I know nothing about that stuff" I say.
"That's okay. I'll teach you. Gives me an excuse to steal you away." She says winking at me.
"You never need an excuse to steal me away baby" I tell her.
Once we finished breakfast, I went and got dressed to meet Okoye for training. Before I met with her, I went to Shuri's lab to give her a kiss before a full days worth of training.
These ladies kicked my ass left and right but I have started noticing I am getting stronger and some of the ladies have a fight pattern I have picked out. I was able to match it and take a couple of them down.
By the end of the training session I was laying flat on my back catching my breath. I sat up and looked at the scenery around me taking in all it's beauty. I really want to stay here. Especially with Shuri. I just hope after I tell her about HYDRA she won't run.
