I wish I wouldn't disappoint you when I can't love myself.
When I can't eat, when I can't drink,
When I can't take care of me.
It adds an extra layer of fear,
An extra addition of anxiety.
Because now there's two voices in my head,
Both yelling and knocking my balance askew.
One insists I'm letting myself down,
And the other tells me I've failed you.
And I know you only think that way because you love me,
But it tears me twice apart.
Because now, by being reckless with my life,
I'm being reckless with your heart.
