Digimon story cyber sleuth: Takumi stays in the digital world

Prologue

   (A/N: I like to make a note before you start reading, this is my first story I am writing so plz be kind and this also may take time to write this story because I am dealing with school or maybe family matters so plz be patient for any updates for this story plz and thank you for understanding now on to the prologue.)

As the hero's leave through the portal that is between both worlds they see all the Digimon that were staying in the real world come through the portal to return home and even see the remaining Royal Knights going home so as they say their goodbyes to their friends and allies. "Everyone's going home..." states Nokia "Does this mean that the Digimon are going to be leaving our world?" questions Arata "If so, things will get awfully lonely." says Yuuko "Yuugo?!" "It's okay, Yuuko. My cyber form is returning to my physical body." explains Yuugo "Th-Then that means...!" stutters Yuuko "Yes. I'll have a real body, after eight years... It will feel very heavy and confining." states Yuugo "Don't worry. I'll be there to help with your rehabilitation!" exclaims Arata "Just go easy on me. Okay then, see you soon!" states Yuugo. And after saying that he slowly floats up into the air and becomes a blue orb of data and zooms off to the real world to return to his body everyone watches with smiles and Nokia waving him goodbye knowing they will be seeing him again soon. "We made it!" Arata exclaims to the others looking back at them "Let's go home... Our world is waiting!" Yuuko exclaims turning around with a smile on her face "Yeah!" Nokia states happily as they turn to look at Takumi Nokia reaches out her hand for him to take "Let's go home! All of us, together" Nokia tells Takumi. Takumi looks at them all and nods his head and as he reaches his hand towards Nokia's to take it, but he suddenly turns into data that starts to break apart "I don't follow...?" Nokia asks confused as they stand there confused on what had just happened and as Nokia tries to reach for the data it shatters before she can even touch it then a bright light blinds them. After the the bright light goes away they open their eyes they see that they are in the real world but they just stand in the middle of the road on a crosswalk in confusion to had happen to their friend and as Nokia looks down she sees his iconic goggles that were also his digivice on the ground in front of them even with people walking by or standing there doing their own thing Nokia did not care as she cries in pain knowing that Takumi did not make as they promise and as she yells for him the only respond she gets is a car horn.

-A Week Later-

"A week has passed." "For Tokyo, it's as if noting happened. Today, as always, it overflows with people." "Is that right, though? Perhaps it was truly noting..." "It could be just our memories... For everyone else, it'd be as if noting happened." "As Arata, the self-proclaimed non-geek, says: "The split axes of time have merged once again."" "He explained a lot, but I slept through half of it...so I don't understand at all." "But the upshot is..." "We have changed so much in eight years. Almost as if it never happened..." "For us, this Tokyo is a completely new Tokyo." "For example, Satoru Kamishiro. Yuuko's father." "He's just and ordinary man. That really surprised me." "As president of Kamishiro Enterprise, he's out there running EDEN and other operations." "Yuuko and Yuugo might still be confuse but...they should be able to lean on their dad soon, for at least a few years' worth of time." "And then there's Rie Kishibe, Secretary to the President." "They say she's deeply in love with Satoru...Yuuko and Yuugo might be getting a new mom soon." "Good luck, Yuuko and Yuugo!" "For example, the EDEN Syndrome..." "The terrorist attack eight years ago in New Tokyo." "Victims of that horrible attack ended up sleeping forever in a comatose state." "Until they all suddenly regained consciousness one week ago." "Yuugo was one of the ones who woke up. He's now in rehab (and I'm helping!)." "Of course , no one knows why they suddenly woke up." "Right now, the theories that are the most popular are that it was a divine miracle, or maybe aliens who did it." "For example, Digimon..." "What can be said about Digimon? Noting! They're both here and not here, right?" "Digimon Capture doesn't exist anymore (or yet?)." "The app that's really popular on the Digivice now is called Digital Monster." "It's a sorta retro training game but it's like I've totally gotten into it..." "Agumon and Gabumon appear in the app, among others...So it's, like, surprising, or something." "what's up with this?" "I'm totally not getting this!" "Like, totally. I give up. My brain is totally broken." "But...You might be able to figure it out." "Oh yeah...Our memories are linked to a constant reality." "Akemi Suedou isn't here in New Tokyo. It's as if he was never born." "There's a little tightness in my chest, but...Arata, self-proclaimed non-geek, says it's good." "Kyoko isn't here either. I looked but couldn't find her." "But the Kuremi Detective Agency is here. There were traces of Kyoko here, regardless." "That must be it. Only a famous(?) sleuth like you can find Kyoko." "I know it! No doubt about it!" "And so...please find her!" as Nokia finished narrating what has happen over the week to Takumi's body that is still in a comatose state with the other near by looking through the glass at their friend who has yet to wake up. "Hey, knock it off with the gloomy expression. It's not like you." Arata tells Nokia but she does not respond "It's really me. Is that the face you want to pull? What would Takumi think?" Arata questions Nokia "I get it, I really do, but..." Nokia explains to Arata "Please, come home!" Nokia begs Takumi knowing he might not be able to here her "Don't worry! We haven't seen the last of Takumi." Arata tells her and goes on saying "According to the doctor, all vitals signs are looking great. Takumi's gonna be fine, I promise!" "Yeah." Nokia says in agreement "Don't be an idiot! What, you think Takumi's wandering around EDEN like a ghost somewhere?" "Like a certain someone we know?" Arata tells her trying to reassure her that their friend is alright and probably out their somewhere and lightened the mood a bit. As he fished his sentence he turns around to look at Yuugo "Haha, ha." giggles Yuugo "That was a subconscious manifestation of my brother while trapped by the eaters. It was all outside of his control." "We're the ones who were responsible for all of this happening. Blaming my brother for it is wrong." Yuuko says defensive "It's not like he was doing it all for fun. He deserves to have the record set straight, along with an apology." she tells Arata sternly "Whoa. Why so serious all of a sudden?" Arata question Yuuko "What?" Yuuko questions back "Now, now..." Yuugo says trying to diffuse the tiny argument before it gets worse "Oh, yeah, that's right!" exclaims Nokia "It's as Arata the self-proclaimed non-geek says!" she fishes with excitement "Huh?" Arata says confused "Are you gonna gang up on my brother too, Nokia?" questions Yuuko with a hint of confusion but she says noting and starts to head out "Hey, where are you going?" Arata questions her "EDEN! I'm gonna go on a little search!" She replies to him with eager "If I just sit there moping and doing noting, Agumon and Gabumon will laugh at me!" she tells them as a joke and serious at the same time "Nokia..." Yuuko says in a kind and understanding tone "If there's a ghost, maybe there's someone who's seen it!" Nokia exclaims "And if I search EDEN, I just might find some data fragments here and there!" she says with hope "Whoa...Did I hit full-on cyber sleuth mode just now?" "Okay, it's time to gather information! Come with me, assistant boy!" Nokia tells them and yells at Arata as she runs off to go do that "What? assistant? Me?" Arata responds confuse "Damn! I guess I'll hang with you, then." "But let's be clear...I'm the cyber sleuth, and you're the assistant, right?" he tells her as he walks off to join her on this mission while Yuuko and Yuugo stay there "I wont give up on...Hey! Are you listening?" Arata yells to her. While they where all busy what they don't know is that Takumi's googles glow blue trough the lens.

-In the In-between worlds-

As Takumi starts to wake up he lifts his head up and sees his mentor or mother-figure Alphamon watching over him "It looks like you've finally woken up. I've been talking to you since I found you, but...I never got even the faintest response out of you. You woke up just when I was about to give up." Alphamon explains to him with worry yet there was a hit of gratefulness to know he woke up before she left "Can you hear me?" she ask him and he nodded yes "I guess I should explain the situation. Your half-cyber body collapse after attempting that crazy connect jump." she explains to him "The data that comprised you just... disappeared. In other words, you're a husk of your former self." "How do you feel?" she asks, a bit worried and as he looks at his husk form then looks back at her shaking his no "Yeah, don't worry about trying to tell me. Fate just won't give up on you. And neither will I." she tells him with a soft tone "Taking on the will of King Drasil after so long, becoming human, sleuthing, fighting my comrades...And I had this one assistant who kept doing all sorts of crazy things. That was a handful, let me tell you." she said jokily to him "But thanks to you, it was all a lot of fun. Thank you." she told him with thankfulness and endearment "I've been wanting to tell you that. Waiting for you to wake up" as she tells him that he feels slightly embarrassed yet happy to hear that from her and as that happens it looks like that she had felt cause she giggle "Heh. What is it? Don't be bashful!" and he immediately responded by shaking his head fast and as his head stops shaking he wonders what will happen to him and it seems she picks up on that feeling cause she asks "What's that? What's going to become of you now?" "As I said before, your data disappeared. Not even I can gather it back together now." "You can wander around here, in your semi-permanent state..." she told him and he looked down, closing his eyes feeling sad and hurt to know there was no way out of here "Or...Oh, that's right! You could come to the Digital World. How about it?" she tells him and that got him to look up at her again with a feeling of hope "I'm about to get really busy. The Eaters were reformatted by King Drasil, reverted back to a harmless state of being. But we still don't know much about their true nature." "I surmise that their main unit is in a higher dimension that only King Drasil can detect. I do plan on confirming that...somehow." "How about it? That's a job you're used to, right? Feeling like coming with me and being my assistant once again?" and as she was telling him this he was getting a bit stressed wondering if he should or return to his friends like they had promised to all return home as he was thinking Aplahamon spoke once more "Just kidding! No need to get so serious! I wanted to see you stressed out for a second. I've been affected by you humans quite a bit. That's why I understand why you do not want to. You want to help your friends. I've come to feel that way too. And it's not just me. look and see." and as she says that he looks around him and sees all the Digimons that he had care for from baby's or not from baby's as he looks he sees how they care so much for him and this helps him make his final decision as Alphamon was going to go on he sent her a emotion that he wanted to go with her and the others as she felt this she ask him "Are you sure you know it might mean that there is no other way to go back and who knows how long it will take for both worlds be connected again and this means you might not be able to see your friends?" but Takumi knew this but he felt like he still had a job to do so he sent her a feeling to express this and she look at him with endearment and said "If that's your wish then it will take time to rebuild a new cyber body but with the help of your Digimon's memories of you it can be fixed and all even give some of mine now just relax and this won't take to long." as she says that his eyes close and everything goes dark.

I also like to mention that Takumi's age will be 18 in this book and that he is mute and use sign language in order to commutate so when you see this ('hello') in bold it is Takumi speaking now that has been said plz let me know what you think of it so I can be able to see what this story might hold in the near future.
