Jeff being my mate was a shock.
I didn't expect but honestly saying I wished he was.
I should've seen the signs but I didn't even realize.
"hey Code" Jeff says, one arm around my waist.
"hi Jeff" I say, smiling.
"I'm your mate" he says.
"I'm your mate" I tell him and he smiles.
"i know" and then he kisses me.
I'm so lucky.
He smiles at me.
A sad but happy smile.
I ignore it, my happiness that he's my mate blinds me.
