Next day you woke up with a gasp practically shooting up from bed. You'd had a nightmare. Your brain immediately thought about going to Alma as you always did, but that thought quickly snapped when looking at your surroundings. You were at the priest hole. Still. You threw yourself back in the harsh bed grabbing the pillow over your head, and groaning. You knew you had probably aged 4 years by now. Which would make you around Alma's age- stop, thinking about her. You sat up again. You couldn't dare to look in a mirror yet though. You'd been 27 when entering the loop. Meaning you were... you weren't good at math taking your sleep deprived brain more them a second to do the math...

"31!" You stated proud of yourself. Though you felt a cold rush down your spine. It was kind of scary. Aging 4 years forward in a single night...

-Alma's POV-

It was 3.44 AM but I couldn't be bothered to sleep. I hated that she'd left! Why did i say such thing! I could've just pretended to not have heard! Or just not lied! But I hadn't. Right? I groan as i grab onto my hair. She had probably aged by now. Making her 31. Making me only two years olde- stop it!

"Miss Peregrine?" I snap my head up though apparently doing so to quickly as i hear a small crack and pain shoots through it. I hiss at the pain and my hand flies to my neck. It was Enoch who was up- of course it was Enoch who was up.

"Enoch. Whatever are you doing up at this hour." I say getting up and walking over to the boy. He frowned at the question.

"I couldn't sleep" he states simply. I sigh at his plain answer.

"And why is that?" I ask softly needing more information. Had he had a nightmare? No this was Enoch he wouldn't seek for help.

"No. I couldn't sleep from the noice of your pacing" he says bluntly of course holding direct eye contact. I feel myself grow embarrassed. Had i really been pacing?!

"Oh. Apologies" i said slipping out of my heals. There was no way i would be able to sleep. But this way i wouldn't wake any of the children.

"Now please head back to bed" i say in a stern tone yet a soft smile on my face. He hummed as if unsure of something he wanted to say.

"Was there anything else?" I ask and his gaze snaps back to mine.

"You've been a bit... off. Since y/n left. I only wish to suggest you try and contact her. She's staying at the priest hole" he says and before I can say anything he continues;

"For everyones sake!" He them turns to leave, leaving me stunned in the parlour.

"I-" i manage to say at some point though he was long out of earshot by then. I had no problem! In fact i felt better than ever! I protest in my head though i know that none of that was true. I sigh as i head up to my room. I change into my nightgown taking out the pins in my hair before heading to bed. Though i was just left starring at the ceiling.

-y/n's POV-

It was 3.56 O'clock but I couldn't fall asleep. Maybe Alma was awake.

"Oh my birds! Would you stop it!" You say to yourself fisting the side of your head lightly. You go to the bathroom but when met with your reflection fall backwards out of the room. You lay on the floor calming yourself down. Your hair had grown longer and you looked just a tad different. You knew you had aged forward, but it still hit with a shock.

"Okay..." you say breathlessly, slowly but steadily getting up. You walk over to the mirror examining your face. You actually looked... to your own liking. Not that you ever liked how you looked, but not much had changed. Except your hair that had grown all the way past your chest. You exhale shakily before just sitting down and resting you head on top of a counter. Eventually you must've dosed off.
