Ingrids pov

"Race to the tree" Jill shouted back as she raced off on her bike
"You cheat!" I yelled after her beginning to cycle
"And I win!" Jill chanted when I finally caught up to her
"You cheated" i frowned but unable to contain the smile
"Go quicker next time" jill smirked climbing off her bike
"Can we get a coffee? I'm exhausted" I climbed off my bike to and put it back against the railing. The advantage of Wolfsburg is that electric bikes were scattered all over the city for people to rent for the day.
"Of course, lead the way"
As we walked the streets of Wolfsburg my heart couldn't help but hurt knowing how much I'd miss this place. I was looking forward to the new challenge but couldn't help the sadness of leaving Germany.

We got to my favourite coffee shop and the sun began to set across the city. The sky filled with orange as the moon began to rise.
"I could get used to this" jill spoke up sipping on her coffee
"Yeah" I sighed "it never gets old"
"How is this going to work?" jill gestured between us "being in different countries I mean"
I knew this question was coming. I had been trying to answer it myself for weeks. Jill had moved to Wolfsburg and I was leaving for Barcelona. There had been a connection between us for a while and when jill told me she was moving to Wolfsburg I couldn't help but feel guilty for once again causing us to be apart. I had the opportunity to move to the WSL last year but I decided against it. We had seen each other at the olympics and after the season but I was never enough. Neither of us could commit being so far away.
"I'm honestly not sure" i shrugged
"I know one thing Ingrid" she grabbed my hand "i like you and I know that it's difficult but I don't see myself with anyone but you"
"You know I like you too, the distance will get hard. We won't know the next time we can see each other"
"I know. How about you get settled and then we can talk? I'm willing to wait" she squeezed my hand and smiled. Her smile drove me crazy.
"Take me to the airport tomorrow?"
"Of course"

I walked outside with my two suitcases behind me. Jill stepped out of her car and grabbed the suitcases putting them in her car. I put my bag in the back and sat in the passenger seat.
"Ready for the new adventure?" Jill asked, getting in the drivers seat
"Yep"
She put on some music and rolled the windows down. As much as this was a sad moment, jill always found a way to make it happy and positive. She had that affect on things, once you knew her, it was addicting to be around that sort of person.
As she parked at the airport I took one final glance at the place I had called home for so long. Barcelona had arranged an apartment for me and it was ready for me to move in to. Some of my stuff had already been delivered and now I just had to sign the papers.

Jill walked me as far as she could to the security line. I held her hand through the airport trying to make the most of every moment.
"This is it" jill smiled
"Yeah" i trailed off pushing some hair behind her ear
"I'll miss you a lot" jill wrapped her arms around my waist pulling me in
"I'll miss you more" i mumbled into her neck
"Text me when you land. I'm so proud of you" jill leaned back locking our eyes
"Thank you" i kissed her cheek "talk soon" and with that I walked away to join the queue. And with one last glance, jill had disappeared into the crowd.

1 month later

"Princesa" Mapi waved a hand infront of my face laughing
"Sorry, lost in thought" i shook my head
"Did you hear me?"
"No sorry"
"Do you want to get coffee later?" Mapi questioned
"Yeah sure"
The past month had been crazy. After leaving jill I began my new journey. A journey of chaos. I had settled into my new life and I was enjoying it. I had spoken to jill every week, on the phone, texting, FaceTime. I missed her like crazy. She hasn't pushed me in making up my mind and I couldn't be more grateful. I had made many friends in Barcelona but one seemed to stand out. Mapi. She was an interesting person to say the least. She had something about her and I couldn't quite put my finger on it. She's different to people I've met before, she challenges me but intrigues me.

"So how has Barcelona been treating you?" Mapi asked as we walked along the beach with a coffee each
"It's been amazing. And it's very warm" i replied
"Why did you come to Barcelona? Weren't Chelsea interested in signing you last year?" She asked
"Yeah, I decided that it wasn't for me. I wanted to leave for a while though"
"Why didn't you?" Mapi stopped and looked at me raising an eyebrow
"It's complicated" i replied, the guilt of jill beginning to arise
"How so?" Mapi pushed unaware of my discomfort
"Well there was this girl and-" I began
"A girl?" She questioned
"Yeah" I looked away, refusing to make eye contact
"Are you together now?"
"Not really, as I said, it's complicated"
"Good, that means I don't feel bad doing this" and with that she hooked her finger on my chin, turning my head and kissed me. It was short but it seemed to set something off within me. As quickly as I realised what she was doing she had stopped and began walking again. I stood their dumbfounded
"Are you coming?" Mapi called back
"Yeah, sorry" I snapped back to reality.

Now I'm torn for choice.
