My cousin had just moved into Town and was already causing some kind of trouble, right? Surprisingly no, that bad girl attitude she has always had was gone and replaced with something a little more down to earth. I had bumped into her because she was stranded here and decided to buy my Grandma's house. I gave her a discount of course because I hadn't seen her for awhile and I loved her to death. Later in the week she came running into my office with a problem. "Ax I need your help with something and it's kind of important." She said, I looked at her and knew immediately it involved my Grandma's chest of witchy things. "Before you even ask, yes you may have it but I need to see it first to make sure
everything is in there" She seemed very excited and that brought joy to my heart. I know that Charles took one of the books that was on top of the chest and rewrote it into a journal of sorts. Kylee had told me that the only books she found were inside of the chest, which means someone or something took them. They were very important books to have if you live in the part of the world we do. I told Kylee to go home and that she and Phinn could use and have all the items. She left and I started digging through my desk and I found one of them and read- Hello my name is Frankie and I will be the guide to your witchcraft studies. Follow these rules if you don't want to be killed by someone who wants this information. Rule Number One: The person or persons who own this book must never let it fall into the wrong hands. Rule Number Two: Never cast a spell of anger towards another person if you are just a beginner because it will come back to haunt you later on. Rule Number Three: Remember The Rule Of Three.- The rest of the writing was destroyed by heavy water damage and years of sitting in the sun with its pages out. I put the book in my backpack and found another book but this one was sealed shut with a sort of spell it seemed. I couldn't get it open so I just put it into my bag and forgot about it. I walked over to our old bookshelf and saw a big hardcover book sticking out of the side. I grabbed it and flipped through. The pages were full of hexes and curses alike, it was also covered in names of people who were being tormented by the previous owner of this book which was not my Grandma it was someone else's. I put it back on the shelf just to be extra safe then I sat at my
desk and started looking through the darkest parts of the internet to see if I could find something to give me even an ounce of closure on what the hell happened to those six books. I found two and Charles has one which he titled "Poison ''. It was basically a book of his life explaining how he became king. He tells the story to everyone but he didn't tell Phinn when he ran into him I believe but that is not like him at all. He is the biggest bragger I have met. I find it adorable but he says that it is not and that I should be ashamed of being married to someone who is as cocky as him. We have been married for just a year but I will never break his heart. He was just a little annoying sometimes but he is cute in that way. He just doesn't realize that he has saved many lives including mine and that's what really bugs me. I looked up at the ceiling and started thinking about all the lives that were lost in that war. Hundreds at least. It may not be big but in a City of only a couple hundred it is a huge amount of people. All because of a stupid scientest fucking around with some chemicals. I hated chemistry. That's why I never took it because I knew that one day Chemistry would destroy the planet and I was right. The world was destroyed because of a few people however we bounced back quite fast. We rebuilt the world and set things normal with every Town, Village, City or Island. There were very strict rules surrounding the people who lived within those places and the laws nearly drove people insane, which is why we made only a few rules but none that were stupidly strict. I stood up and grabbed my bag and some vitamins. I put them in my mouth. I had no health problems. I just love the taste of vitamins. I walked out of my office and up to Kylee's and investigated all the items. Everything was there, only missing the three books. I smiled and cleansed the contents of the chest with careful accuracy, making sure to clean it of anything that could be harmful. After I was done I smudged the house and cleaned the basement out. It was empty, yes but it was very dirty. Part of me wanted to tell them that the house was very haunted but then again this whole City is. I walked away from their house and back to my office building and grabbed my phone. I went onto my messages and saw thirty three missed messages from Charles. All of them saying the word {hi} {hi} {hi}. I laughed to myself and responded with a {You don't have to say hi thirty times silly. I love you}. I put my phone away and grabbed my car keys. I walked down to the parking garage and got into my rusted old vehicle and started driving. I could feel my heart in my chest pounding. It was so silent in this City. I drove down to the library still searching for the books which I could not find anywhere else. I searched and searched until I found the three I needed. I put them in my bag and started walking towards the exit when a shadow appeared behind me. A cold breath hit the back of my neck and sent chills through my whole body. I let out a breath and kept walking except I couldn't leave. I turned around and saw a man with a tuxedo and a big hat. He shrieked and I fell down. Down into the death of millions. I was no more. My body lay silent on the library floor in a puddle of blood. The shadow who had taken my life was gone and the books lay covered in my blood. The man bent down and took the books in his grasp and disappeared. I floated around the town looking for my husband but then I was back in the library unable to leave. My body had disappeared with the man so the rest of the City thought I had run away but no, I never left at all. I'm dead.
