I looked at her sternly.

"Y/n. Where's Rui?"

Back to the present~

Y/n sighed. "I'm telling the truth. I don't know where he is."
"I blocked his number, Y/n. I know you two have talked." I said, seeing a glimpse of Muichiro flinch.
"You guys talked?" Muichiro asked. Y/n sighed. "Yes, we were talking, Muichiro. But for a reason. He was nervous on seeing you again,  Selena."

"Called it." Kento said nonchalantly, holding his hand out. "Ugh." Miyuka scoffed, giving him 10 dollars.
"Thank you."

I looked back at Y/n.
"Good it's for that reason." Muichiro said. "If it was something else......"

"Y/n—"
Before I could finish my sentence, the was a pound on the door.
Enmu got up. "Welp, I'll get it."
He opened the door.

"Rui?"

Me, Y/n, Rui, Muichiro, Hakuji, and Koyuki sat down and it stayed silent for a while.
Rui didn't look at me. Instead he looked at his drink. Enmu sat in between all of us, since he was kind of a therapist.

"Well, what's the problem?" Enmu asked, taking his mug.
"After that day where you got hurt..." Rui said, clutching his hands into a fist. "I'm glad we still chatted."
I giggled. "Yeah."

It got silent again.

"But, what's the problem? On the chat, you two said you loved each other." Enmu replied, taking a sip of his coffee.
"Oh yeah! I almost forgot about that." Hakuji chimed in. "What happened between you three?"
"Hakuji... You wouldn't understand.." I sighed. Enmu looked at me. "He could at least try."
I sighed and wrapped myself up with my arms. "It all started..."
"It all started a 1 week ago," Muichiro said. "Don't worry, I was there."

"Yeah, it all started 1 week ago. We four met Selena at the hospital."
"With that spider?" Hakuji asked.
"No, that was 2 weeks ago." Muichiro corrected. "I wasn't talking about that. That was chaotic."
"Boy, time's confusing." Koyuki giggled. "Well, one week ago Rui planned to meet up. Just the four of us. This was before I had to get stitches. And at the hospital Rui told Muichiro, and Y/n that he was going to get married when school starts. He didn't tell me. After when he finally told me, I didn't enjoy it."

"And... Muichiro told us he wanted to cancel his wedding and have his brother deal with it." Rui added.
"Also.. Selena brought up that she didn't want that.. and Rui said he couldn't do anything about it.." Y/n chimed in as Enmu nodded.

"And Selena said there should have been something to stop it," Muichiro said. "But, there wasn't." Rui said with a hint of anger. He turned to me. "I told you that there wasn't a way. But you still had your hopes up!"

"Hey, calm down." Enmu ordered, gesturing Rui to chill. "Continue, but with a calmer attitude. I'm not having anyone getting bloody knuckles today."

"You still had your hopes up. You always do." Rui said in annoyance. "I always had." I said. "Because there's always a way."

Your POV
"I always wanted to believe in something before I die. My life is short, okay?" Selena said, hitching.
"I only get to have no more than 21 years to live. I just wanted to live the happy life people say I deserve, Rui."

I sighed, gripping my cup. Muichiro tapped onto my shoulder. "You ok?" He asked. I nodded.
He smiled a little.
"You don't deserve a happy life," Rui said. Selena's eyes widened. I looked up and got angry.
"Rui! You bitch!" I shouted, standing up. He stood up too.

"Hey!" Enmu called, standing up. "I don't want any of you getting hurt. Sit down you two."
Me and Rui sat down, hearing Selena hitch more. Enmu and Koyuki patted her back.
"You don't deserve it." Rui said, with more anger.  "You always act like you're okay but you're not! You always smile and laugh when you're the one who's crying !"
"Then why so mad at me for?" Selena protested, looking at Rui. "I just wanted you to marry the one you want to marry."
