As I stretch out and get dressed, I can't help but hum to myself slightly, looking forward to the day ahead. In the short time since Nico and I graduated from Otonokizaka, Nico and the rest of Muse were invited to perform in America, and not too long ago they finally returned. With how they planned to disband at the end of the year, I was worried about Nico afterwards, her dream to be an idol having only been fulfilled for one year, but from how we talked on the phone while she's away, it looks like she and the others have reached their answer, and I don't need to worry about it.

However, whatever the case is, Nico asked me to meet up with her today, telling me that since I've never done that before, we could go do that as a date today.

After I finished getting dressed, I left the house and headed over to Nico's, wanting to meet up with her there. I've walked the path to her home enough times now that I don't even need to think about where I'm going, just following those familiar paths until I reach my destination.

Once I got there, and rang the doorbell, it was only a minute before Nico opened the door, and with a smile, said "Hey Y/n, you're early."

I shrugged and said "With this being our first date since you got back, I'm honestly a little excited."

Nico's smile grew and she said "True enough, just give me another minute to finish getting ready and I'll be right out."

"Go ahead." I said, nodding my head.

She headed back inside and after a couple more minutes came outside, and after I took her hand, the two of us headed to a nearby karaoke place she mentioned.

As the two of us headed to our destination, the two of us continued talking about the same topic of discussion: rather than apply for a better college that's harder to get into since I am pretty good academically, I chose to attend the same as her. I know she's just trying to get me to go for what'd look better in the future, but I don't care about that too much, as much as I'm able to enjoy my time with Nico, I can manage not being in as optimal of a position in the future.

Before too long we made it to the karaoke place, at first just going for an hour, and then heading to the room we got. Once we got there, Nico immediately reached for the tablet and explained how exactly I select my songs, having obviously been here quite a few times.

After we picked out songs, Nico started things off, taking the microphone and stood up, before starting to sing, doing her signature pose and going "Nico Nico Nii!"

I've always been painfully aware of how tonedeaf I am, so while my songs weren't exactly brilliant, the same couldn't be said for when Nico sang, all of her time as an idol having honed her singing skills. The two of us would go back and forth, taking turns singing, and the thing that stood out the brightest among everything going on was how much fun Nico was having, and when she's enjoying herself, it completely amps things up for me too, making me have an even better time than I was already having.

When we decided to take a bit of a break, I sat back down beside her and said "Gotta say, this is definitely more enjoyable than I expected, even if I am pretty tone-deaf."

"Right? Singing is so much fun" Nico said

"Yeah, it is." I responded, only a moment later, noticing the slightly troubled look on Nico's face.

Moments later, Nico leaned against me and she said "Y/n, do you remember how when you first confessed to you I said that as an idol, I couldn't accept it or dedicate myself to one person, since an idol's love is for everyone? The truth is that before I fell for you, I really planned on remaining without a partner while I was an idol. But now, since Muse has disbanded I'm no longer an idol, and while I wish I still could be, I'm not. My love isn't for everyone anymore, it's just for you, my most precious person."

As Nico leaned against me, I turned and kissed her forehead before I said "Nico, even if you aren't an idol publicly anymore, that adorable, shining girl I saw on stage is another part of the woman I love, and as long as you're you, you'll always be a brilliant idol to me."

After a moment, Nico grabbed my shirt and buried her face against her face, and I heard her say "Geez, how can you say things like that so nonchalantly..."

I wrapped my arms around her, embracing her as I said "Come on, can you really talk with what you said right beforehand? Still, I'm honestly happy to hear that. I love you Nico, and I promise I already will."

As I held her, I realized that while Nico has come to her answer about her future as an idol, that doesn't mean that it's fully been accepted, and as her boyfriend, I wanna be with her as she reaches that, supporting her and loving her. I want to always be there for the beautiful idol I call a girlfriend.
