Time passed very quickly. At the moment, Liliana was just at work, she had her duty and had a headache. Not only was there a lot of activity in the clinic today, but also the patients themselves, who were already there, argued a lot.
"Lily! " The woman heard a familiar voice, and when she turned to the direction it came from, she immediately smiled and went in that direction. "I brought you a second breakfast." Jikyo said and kissed his wife on the cheek.
"Thank you. " She replied tiredly. "You're saving my life. " She sighed.
"I see you've been busy today. It's a lot of people here today." The young man was surprised. "Like never. "
"Right, we're constantly going from one room to another. A lot of doctors have taken holidays, and patients complain that they have to wait so long. They're insistent that they won't go to different doctor. " She shook her head. "You finish at four o'clock today, don't you?" Asked looking at him.
"Yes. " He nodded. "Will you come for me?" Asked with a smile.
"Mm, I will. " Woman replied. "We'll go home together."
"Okay, see you later then. " He said, kissed his wife for goodbye and went to his work.
Lily started humming a tune to herself, then softly singing to herself. She often did it, not even knowingly. The melody and lyrics of the song were composed by her a few years ago. This was the time Wilkinson met Jikyo, when she came up with the first words of the lullaby. Over time, however, the song was expanded.
"Ah, how good that I found you here today. " The older man said. It was Mr. Collins, who had Alzheimer's. "And what song are you humming? "
"Um, it's just my lullaby. Eh, Mr. Collins. " Liliana looked at him. "What are you doing here today?"
"Eh, what do you mean by that? " The patient was surprised. "I had an appointment today, oh, please see for yourself. " The man reached into his pocket for a piece of paper with the date of the visit written on it.
"Sir, it wasn't supposed to be today, see for yourself." Wilkinson walked over to him and pointed to the numbers the older man was holding upside down.
"But here we have a six, and today is the sixth. " He insisted.
"No, turn it around. " She said. "You see, it's a nine, not a six. " She said. "And where's your son? Did you come here yourself? "
"Maybe this six really looks like a nine... " He said thoughtfully.
"Mr. Collins. " Lily placed a hand on his shoulder. "Where is your son? "
"Son? " He repeated in surprise. "But I don't have a son. Although it is true that my wife and I have been trying to conceive for years, but ... "
"I'm here! "A third voice said. It was Rupert, the patient's son. "Dad, how many times have I told you to..."
"Dad? But what are you talking about? " The elder wondered.
"I'm sorry for the trouble, ma'am. " Rupert said. "I'll take care of my father."
At the same time, Jikyo had already started his shift and started taking new orders in the kitchen.
"Jikyo, laddie, how's going? Are you alright? " Andre, the owner of the bistro, asked.
"Yes, everything's fine. " He replied looking at the elder. "How is your wife? Better now, I hope. "
"Ah yes, much better. She's not running a fever anymore, thanks to your Lily, she's gotten better. Ah, yes... " He said, then reached for something in his briefcase. "Here, this is for you."
