Part 1

This is my first story I have ever written that I put time in. Good luck haha.

Disclaimer PLEASE READ: Since this is my fanfiction I have changed many things(sorry not sorry). The setting is many years after endgame before the other movies after came out. Peter is the same age as Morgan(around 16 or so). Along with Harley Keener who is right now in brooklyn. Tony is not dead and Steve is still here.

"Sarah, honey! Come on and eat!"Sarah Rogers strolled down the stairs and smelled the whiff of breakfast,

"Smells good dad! What is it?" Steve Rogers smiles and winks at his daughter, "Your favorite! French toast, bacon, and eggs."

Sarah smiles, grabs a plate, and slaps her breakfast on. Steve starts cleaning up the place while Sarah eats her breakfast.

As soon as she's done she asks, "Can I go with Morgan? She wants me to come with her to the mall. Happy is gonna pick us up." Steve looks up from the counter and gives a questioning face, "Morgan Stark?"

Sarah nodded, "She says that you know her dad." Steve says, "Yeah, I know her dad alright. But to answer your question, yes you may go with Morgan." Sarah smiled and hugged her dad as thanks. Then she went up to her room to get ready.

After Sarah left, Steve went into his room and sat on the edge of his bed. He ran his fingers through his hair and sighed. He missed Sharon but she just ran out on him and left Sarah with him. Steve got up and went into his closet and saw his Captain America suit hanging up. Steve Rogers retired from working with the Avengers when he had to take care of his daughter. He hasn't even called any of them to see if they needed him.

He felt his phone vibrating in his pocket. He took it out and saw that it was Tony, "Hello?" "Hey Rogers, I decided that I just wanted to say a friendly hello. I thought about it when Morgan went out with her friend." Steve chuckled, "Ok Tony, what do you want?"

"What?" Tony said in mock surprise, "can't I just say hey?" Steve started,"Tony you haven't called me in 12 years"

"Yes I know, I have been a little busy the past years with Peter and all. Stuff really doesn't calm down around here. Uh you know what I'm saying,"

" Tony if you're asking me to come back I can't and you know that. What happened with Sharon. And everything else," Steve said sadly.

" Yes I know but things are getting bad out there I mean I wouldn't have asked for you sorry butt if we didn't need it.," Tony chuckled." Hey come on," Steve started, " you have to say I was pretty darn good." He smiled as he said that, remembering all the happy times he has had with his avenger family.

Silence stung the air until Tony spoke up "Well Rogers it was nice talking to you." Yeah maybe again sometimes Stark," Steve said as he ended the call.

Just then he heard the door open. And his best friend James Buchanan Barns walked in. "Look who I found near the lake" Bucky looked at Sarah then to Steve," by herself."

Sarah now looked uncomfortable because she disobeyed her dad's orders. Steve gave Sarah a look that she knew he was mad. Sarah gave a nervous laugh" You know Uncle Buck's and your cars look pretty dirty. I should probably go clean those. As she turned around Bucky grabbed the collar of her shirt and spun her back to her Steve.

" I c-can explain," She stuttered. " Yes please," Steve stated in a monotone. "Well when Morgan was picked up by Mrs. Stark, I just took a cab to the lake. And sketched it while I listened to some music, " Sarah shyly stated, " Please don't be mad. I know I should have told you but my phone went dead. Then as I was walking home uncle Bucky came and saw me. That's true all of it I promise!"

Steve looked her straight in the eye," Do you know what could have happened. Do you know how dangerous it is for a young girl to be by herself in the city!" "I know I know. I'm sorry I won't ever do it again," Sarah pleaded.

Steve saw in the eyes of his daughter that she was sorry and went over to give her a hug, "Well now I will take you up on your offer and you can clean mine and Uncle Bucky's car," Sarah frowned and went to do what she was told. " Hey Steve is something wrong," Bucky began ?" it seems something is bothering you."

Steve went to sit down on the stool in the kitchen," Tony called today actually just right before you came in, he was practically asking for help," he chuckled ,"but I can't go back. I would be risking Sarah's life and if anything happened to her." He didn't finish the sentence. "Oh I see," Bucky said," She is going to have to learn about the past sooner or later." "Yes but it's not going to be anytime soon," and with that Steve left the room.
