Part 8

Guys I haven't read this story in a couple years, honestly what was I thinking haha. Don't worry i will warn you guys if it gets to cringey.

Once Felix and the other arrived at their destination they brought Sarah into a stark white room and laid her on the metal bed. 

PLEA agents and other employees tied her to the bed with thick black bands. A man walked in wearing a white lab coat and name tag bearing the name, Doctor Jonas Adler. 

Dr. Adler began to command employees around. He picked up a large needle filled with a black liquid that was handed to him. Sarah was beginning to wake up. Her vision was blurry and she had a pounding headache. When her eyesight cleared she saw a bright light, like one above an operation table. 

With people in masks and lab coats standing around her, Sarah quickly remembered the past events and tried to sit up but was forced back down by the band across her chest. She was scared. Then one man walked up with a large needle and smirked"This will hurt." 

She struggled to break the ropes but it was no use. She forfeited trying to escape preparing for whatever pain she was about to endure. Dr. Adler injected the needle into her neck.

 The pain was unimaginable; it felt like all the muscles were tearing apart in her body. She was crying when she screamed, a horrible painful scream.

Steve didn't get a wink of sleep at all last night. He was exhausted but couldn't imagine falling to sleep. He tossed and turned in his bed going over all the scenarios in his head. He looked at the picture sitting on the bedside table. It was a photo of him holding Sarah not long after she was born.

 He picked up the frame and stared at the sweet baby that he was raising alone. She used to cry every time he set her down so Steve ended up holding her most of the time during her infancy.

 He set the photo down and slowly made his way out of bed. Once he got dressed he shuffled down stairs. Ignoring breakfast he reached his car and stopped at a fast food restaurant to grab some coffee. His hands were still shaking with worry making it hard to drive and drink his breakfast at the same time.

 Once he arrived at headquarters Peter and Bucky were already there. He dumped his empty coffee cup into the trash can right outside the sliding doors. Steve walked into the control room. Expecting to see the faces of Peter and Bucky he saw a woman with straight red hair wearing a black jumpsuit. Natasha?!

Sarah was uncoinsence once Dr. Adler was done injecting the serum into her veins and nervous system. Felix stood off to the side smiling. "How long will it be?" He asked the doctor. 

Jonas was washing his hands while he answered. "I'll give her 1-2 weeks before the toxin starts to affect the brain and movement. It will ultimately change the way she thinks so in shorter words brain control. But she will have absolute control of her body just thinking differently.She will contract abnormally quick reflexes and begin to grow stronger." 

"Any side effects?" Felix asked. The doctor shrugged, "Headaches can be large or small. Others include the usuals of any drug. Depending on her individuality they can get serious."

"Good,'' Felix chuckled. "She won't remember anything about this procedure," Adler went on. He called a nurse to come over and untie the bands holding her to the table. "She will be on her way in the morning," Felix spoke.

"W-what are you doing here? I thought you had a mission overseas. How did you get here?" Steve was bewildered that Natasha Romanoff was standing in the headquarters in front him that minute .Natasha turned around, "I get you have a lot of questions but I think I have the upper hand here, "Natasha stared at Peter than at Bucky and finally at Steve, "Daughter huh? Is that why you retired? She was kidnapped?"

 Steve sighed, "Yes that is the main reason why, " he paused for a second to regain his composure, "She has been missing since yesterday . We think... We know she was taken by this group that tried to take her before." She put her arms across her chest. "I Know I have a lot to explain but right now is not the best time," Steve added. 

Natasha nodded in agreement and walked around looking at the room she was standing in, "I've heard about all the awful propaganda that had been distributed around here." No one said anything, Peter bit his lip. "And so I have come to help. Obviously already have my work cut out for me with you idiots so it's best we get started," Natasha smiled. 

Nick Fury walked in with several other Headquarters personnel. "It's about time you showed up Natasha," He said. 

The black widow shook her head and chuckled. Nick Fury moved on, "We have agents and K-9 picking up her scent as we speak. Along with others checking for anything else that could be of use. "We will just have to wait ," Bucky said solemnly. Steve went to the kitchen to make himself another cup of coffee.

When Sarah woke up she looked around in confusion. She was laying on a large fluffy bed that was too comfortable to get up. Sarah sat up and looked around the room. With bright white walls and a marble table with a sink off to the side, it looked as if she was in a storybook. Sarah panicked from the thought of having absolutely no clue of where she was. Just then a lady with blond hair walked in. The women laid clothes on top of the table. 

She began to walk out but Sarah stopped her, " Hello!? Where am I?" The lady stopped and turned around. She smiled and said, "You can call me Mrs. Carter. I'm here to help you." Sarah was beyond confused, "I don't need help. There is nothing wrong with me ."

 Ms. Carter sat next to her on the bed and put a hand tenderly on Sarah's shoulder, but she backed away, "You were sick but we helped you. It's all going to be ok now." Sarah walked around the room dazed, "You kidnapped me!"

Ms. Carter spoke, "We are helping you. Now calm down, it's ok." Sarah breathed."Who is we?"she asked. Ms. Carter stood back up and straightened out her navy blue skirt. "Political Law Enforcement Agency," Ms. Carter said. 

Sarah shook her head, "Why does the government care about me?" Mrs. Carter looked her in the eye, "You're a very special girl ,Sarah." Sarah nervously laughed, "Is this because of my father?"

 The blue-eyed lady turned serious," What is the last thing you remember?" Sarah quickly obeyed not wanting to cause trouble, "Uh I think I was sitting in the kitchen with my dad." Ms. Carter nodded in approval. Sarah felt like these people were legit but she was still frightened. "All your questions will be answered in time. But for now you will be going home," She walked out of the room motioning Sarah to get dressed and follow her.

 Once Sarah got dressed she walked outside, turning around she saw a large white building with many windows. The building was by a large river with green rolling hills cascading the horizon. A chauffeur opened the door to a black SUV. Sarah reluctantly entered the car. 

She was sitting in the back along with Ms. Carter. "We are helping you. Trust me.But we will have to blindfold you for safety reasons.," She said. Sarah was scared and confused but let Ms. Carter blindfold her.

Sarah was glad to be back home. Exiting the car she walked up to her house and stepped inside the door. Sarah reached to grab her phone thinking she should call her dad. Feeling nothing she used the home phone to call headquarters. She heard a comforting familiar voice at the end of the line, "Hey uncle Buck."
