At this very moment,
I am waiting for Jacob to show up at
this bowling place for our date.
Brand had already dropped me off about 10 minutes ago?
Realizing it's been 10 minutes since I got here and he hasn't shown up yet...

15 minutes go by.....

20 minutes...

Then 30 minutes...

40 minutes?

Yeah.
He stood me up...

I decided, well accepted the fact I was stood up
for the 4th time...
I called Brand up to hang out with me instead
and to knock down a few pins to let my frustration out.
"I don't even know why I even agreed to drop you off
when I know Jacob's an asshole..."
He questioned himself, picking up a bowling ball.
" Yeah well, thanks for coming anyway. Now c'mon, throw the ball. "
I laughed, watching him hit a STRIKE!!
" Holy crap! Did you see that?!? "
His voice echoed throughout the whole place.

I cheered him on.

He taunted, and he knows how competitive I am...
" I- I can beat you easily! "
I laughed standing up, as he took my seat.
We both kept laughing,
but that's when my eye caught Jacob walking through the doors...

There is no way he's late!

My laughter died down and so did Brand's after he saw him too.
" Jacob, you piece of- "
Brand marched up to him but I stopped him
before he could say anything else.
" I got it, Brand.. "
I pushed him aside while they glared at each other.
" Mind explaining why you didn't show up? "
I asked.
" It's Finn... "
Finn? As in...?
" Wait, Finn? "
Both Brand and I said in sync asking him.
" Yeah, Finn."
Jacob sighed looking down.
" Finn as in my stepbrother Finn? "
I contorted my face.
" Mhm.. "
He hummed in response.
" Wait, what about him? "
I questioned him confused as to why my step-brother
would be involved?
" He- he told me not to go on this date with you,
cause he thought it wouldn't be a good idea.. "

" Finn?! Seriously!? "
I said almost yelling, seeing a shocked look on Brand's face.

He's been telling other guys in school not to ask you out
or not go on the date or else he'll do some
fucked up shit to us! "
Jacob added.
" What?! "
This time I shouted in the bowling alley...
All eyes were on the 3 of us for sure...

He sighed like he wasn't supposed to say or confess that.
" Look I'm sorry but I need to get home.
I just felt bad for leaving you stood up in a bowling alley. "
He explained and I guess he was sorry?
But Finn?
Why on earth would he do that?!

Then it hit me...

Is that why I've stood up for the past 2 months?!
THIS WAS LIKE THE 4TH TIME!
I could've had a boyfriend by now

I answered blankly sitting back down on the bench.

My best friend tried to protest.

I answered sweetly,
BEYOND PISSED!

Jacob saluted, while he walked out the door.
And Brand mocked his dumb salute gesture.
" Are you sure you're okay? You know I just realized.
Finn might be the reason why guys aren't asking you out
or why you've been stood up like what? 5? 6 times- "
" 4 times... "
I corrected him while I sat down.
" Sorry, 4 times this month? "
He spoke, correcting himself, being slow to catch up as always.
" Yes, I do believe so.
But why would he fucking do that?

I yelled losing my cool...
Everyone looking at us, once again...

He pointed to me while he moved his seat away
but I pulled him back hitting behind his head.

He complained as if I hit him that hard.
When suddenly I saw a smirk slowly appear on his face.
" What is it? "
I asked him confusedly.
" Nothing. It's just that maybe Finn likes you so- "
" You are gross... "
I cut him off from drinking from the smoothie we bought earlier.
" Just saying facts, Y/n. "
Brand shrugged his shoulders.
" Again, gross. "
I made a disgusted face while he laughed.
