Request: Hi Bon! Can I get Bonnie Bennett x Reader and For your gift, I'm taking you to the shelter to adopt an animal for #December2022

You weren't sure why Bonnie wanted to meet out of town. It would have been much easier to exchange gifts at each other's houses. Or wait for Caroline's party so she wouldn't get upset with you both swapping gifts without her.

You waited at the cafe glancing at the clock every now and then when Bonnie didn't show up on the dot. She arrived five minutes late in a christmas hat. As soon as she sat down next to you, you dumped the gift bag on the table.

"I was starting to get worried you weren't coming. Or maybe you'd messaged me and changed your mind about meeting here instead of at your house. My phone really has been playing up I didn't get Elena's message the other day until she'd come over and been at mind for over an hour." You muttered. She apologised for the delay and turned down the barista who came over to offer her a drink menu.

"We need to get going." She said excitedly. You frowned at her and looked down at the sparkly purple gift bag sitting on the table.

"Go where? I thought we were exchanging gifts?" You asked and she sighed. She looked more excited than worried so what she had planned was beyond you, having grown used to a vampire suddenly appearing, tearing the place apart and everyone being forced to run away.

"For your gift. I'm taking you to the shelter to adopt an Animal." She explained with a grin.

"What? Are you serious?" You asked and she nodded.

"You couldn't make up your mind and I picked up some supplies. It's why I was late. We don't have to get one today if you don't find the right one. We can spend some time together finding the right animal for you." Bonnie watched you carefully for a moment as your face stilled and then broke into a grin as you lurched over the table to hug her as you both laughed at your eagerness.
