Request: Anonymous asked: Hi Bonnie! Could I request Bonnie Bennett with a male reader and I'm protecting you. Because that's what we do. We keep each other safe. Reader is protective Bonnie. #Halloween2023

Bonnie's hands began to shake as she tried to hold the spell. Alone in the woods. She knew better than to go off into the woods alone. The vampire was stronger than she had thought he would be. Despite the fact that he was holding his own she could feel his strength waning. But she could also feel exhaustion setting in for her as well.

"When your spell ends I'm going to..." The vampire was cut off by a snap and his head jerked to the side as he collapsed. Bonnie slumped forward as the spell ended and found herself caught in someone's arms.

"Easy there little witch." You said and grinned at her. She would have scowled at you but was so relieved that someone came to her rescue that she let you take her weight.

"Why're you here?" She asked.

"I'm protecting you. Because that's what we do. We keep each other safe." You answered her quickly. She had said the same thing to you a few weeks before when the same vampire had caught you by surprise and nearly killed you. With a scoffed smile she stood and looked at the vampire on the floor.

"What do we do with him?" She asked. You sighed and glanced towards the road.

"Damon said that he knows something that we need. They came to me to see if I was bothering you, turns out I wasn't. Figured I would see if I could find you." You explained to her. There was a shout in the woods, you turned and focused as Bonnie watched you intently knowing she didn't have the strength to fight anything else.

"It's Stefan and Caroline. They're looking for you." You said. The calling stopped then there was talking and rustling before they emerged.

"You're ok!" Caroline said as she rushed to hug Bonnie. She glared at you over Bonnie's shoulder and you raised your eyebrows.

"This the guy Damon was looking for?" You asked. Stefan followed you over to the limp vampire and nodded.

"Yeah. Let's get him locked up at the boarding house before wakes up and goes on another rampage." Stefan muttered. You wanted to point out that the rampage had actually just been a very specific witch hunt but Caroline was still glaring at you and the last time the two of you had swapped blows she had thrown you further than you would ever admit and didn't want to repeat it. So you kept your mouth shut.

"See you around little witch." You said to Bonnie as she pulled away from Caroline and watched you and Stefan move the vampire. Stefan slung him over his shoulder and vanished off into the woods towards the Boarding house. With a wink to Bonnie, you did the same.
