"There we go, all done"
Dianne helped lilly take the final spoon of her semi pureed dinner, half of it which was down her. Dianne loved weaning her daughter but hated the after math. The food would be everywhere and not just on lily, it would be on the floor, her high chair, the table, all down dianne herself but she wouldn't change it for the world. She was enjoying being a mother so much, the first 9 months had been definitely up and down but the feeling she got from having her own baby to love and care for was an experience like no other.

"Mummy's going to get you all cleaned up and then me and daddy are going to have our dinner, whilst you have your little yogurt pouch for dessert. How does that sound?"
Dianne stood up, grabbing the wipes she always kept nearby and started to clean up. Lily babled away, her innocent little laugh echoing through the kitchen making joe, who was stood finishing off his and diannes dinner, smile from ear to ear. He loved their small family setup: how they had a routine, how they felt like they knew what they were doing now and it was just perfect. Having their own family was everything they imagined and more.

"Here's your little yogurt lils"
Joe handed her the small pouch a few minutes later which she took happily, beginning to eat it herself without the help of either of them.

"And here my love is josephs famous lettuce rice cups"
Joe placed her plate infront of her seat. They felt it was so important to talk at this time of day. It was something they did before they even had lily. They treasured dinner time as an hour of the day where they could sit down properly and talk about their day. Now they were a family they found it even more valuable, even though lily couldnt talk yet it was something they wanted her to experience from a young age. She always sat with them whilst she ate. She would have her dinner first and then it would always be followed by her yogurt pouch, and whilst she ate that, joe and dianne ate their dinner.

"You ok?"
Joe asked after a few moments diannes had only taken one bite from her lettuce cup and then left it on the plate, looking down sadly.

"I'm really sorry, I cant eat it"
She whispred feeling like she was upsetting him by not wanting the food he had made her.

"Does it taste alright? I can make you something else if you want"
He asked wanting to make her happy.

"No, its fine. It's not your cooking or anything, I just feel abit sick"
She told him.

"Oh, do you need anything? Maybe you should go up to bed if you feel ill"
He asked.

"No I'm ok, I'll just grab some water and go and lay on the sofa"

"Ok, theres no need to be disappointed dot, you haven't offended me by not wanting it. Its something you cant control. I'll kept it so you have have it later if you feel better"
He said as she poured herself some water.

"Thank you, came you come and join me once your done?"
She asked him.

"Yeah of course, I wont be long"
He told her before she went into the room next door. She sat down, pulling a blanket over herself and not long after she began experiencing hot and cold sweats. Taking the blanket off would make her too cold and having it on wouldn make her too hot. She kept it wrapped around her shoulder as a compromise but it didn't really help. It didn't make her feel any better.

"Joe"
She shouted with all the energy she had left inside of her hoping he would hear.

"Yeah"
His voice clearly echoed back to her.

"When you come in, can you bring me some paracetamol?"
She asked him.

"Yeah, I'll be a few minutes"
She heard him crash around for a while before he came to join her a couple of minutes later resting lily on his hip and a packet of paracetamol in hand which he gave to her.
