Christmas with you :)

Y/n frowns, watching the small flakes of snow fall from the sky. She presses her palm against the glass of the window, pulling back after a few seconds due to it being extremely freezing to the touch.

"Hey," she heard a familiar voice start. "How are you doing?"

She turns around to be met with Hanako standing in front of her with a small smile. He sits next to her.

"I'm alright, but bored. I wish Yashiro and Kou's break was over. It was fun at first, but there's nothing to do. And I refuse to play Hanafuda."

Hanako rolls his eyes, then starts to float in a sitting position. "It's not all that bad, right? I mean, you have me~?"

Y/n pushes his face out of her own with a small smile, struggling to keep it hidden. "Yeah, well, you can get annoyed by anyone."

Hanako scoffs, "Even your own boyfriend? That's just ruthless. I'm offended."

Y/n sticks out her tongue. Then, she gets up and walks to the door. "I'm gonna go see if I can make cookies or something. You know where I'll be if you need me." She then exits the room.

He watches her leave before smiling and looking at a Mokke in the room. "Hey buddy. Would you mind helping me with something?"

It looks up at him and tilts his head. "Sure. What is it?" Hanako grins widely.

Y/n hums, taking her freshly baked cookies from the oven and placing it on the counter.

"That was relaxing... I honestly should do this more often." She smiles to herself, then starts to decorate the cookies shaped in trees, gingerbread men, and stockings. A few Mokke helped, too.

Hanako floats into the room, then wraps his arms around her waist. "Hello, Y/n. How's the cookies?"

She looks at him for a sec, before responding, "They're alright," and shoving one in his mouth.

He lets go of her to munch on the treat. Once he finishes, he watches her continue her work.

"What are you planning on doing with those?" He asks.

"Well, I'll hand 'em out to the other mysteries, maybe some Mokke lucky enough, and I'll save some for my bestie and Kou."

He hums and nods. "And me? What about meee??" He floats above the cookies upside down, looking at her with a light blush and pouty look.

She laughs lightly, her cheeks warming. She nods. "And you, of course. Do you think I'd forget about the boy I basically live with?"

"Correction: Do live with. Even if we're dead.... Whatever. Still." He says after contemplating.

She nods with a smile. Then proudly looks over her work. "I'm finished~! Will you help me pass them out?"

"Yeah, sure." He floats down to grab some cookies to help pass out (as well as some for himself,) and floated off.

The two spent about twenty minutes handing out the cookies before heading back to Hanako's boundary, in other words, their home.

"That was kinda tiring..." She flops onto the couch. "And now we have some left for us and our human friends. Life? Is great." Y/n sighs, happy about her actions.

Hanako walks off to grab something before walking Infront of the girl on the couch.

"I have something for you, love."

She looks at him, spotting a gift in his hands. She gasps and jumps up. "Wait, hang on! I have something, too. Wait here." She then runs off, also grabbing a gift.

When she comes back, Hanako hands her what she got him, and she does the same.

"You go first, Y/n."

"Okay."

She slowly unwraps the gift, being met with a necklace with some (f/c) beads around a (birth stone) heart. She gasps and puts it on, admiring it.

Her eyes sparkle and she looks at Hanako with  blushing face. "Oh my god! I love it, thank you!"

He laughs before she urges him to open his gift. He obliges, carefully opening it. Inside is his old rocket keychain, as well as a small space themed note. It read:

" Dear my beloved,

It's been so long since we've seen each other, and I've savoured every little moment we've had together. You make life and the afterlife worth being there for. You deserve way more than what you lead on, and I hope I'll be with you for the rest of our time. Maybe eternity? Well, I'm glad I got to see you again this year, and hope to continue our time together. I love you so much, Amane.

"Y/n..." He breaths out.

She looks at the keychain in his palm. "I don't know if you've forgotten about losing it, but when I was in that door place with Yashiro, you ran off and dropped it. I thought after all this time, I should give it back. It was your favorite, anyway."

He envelopes her into a hug, her stumbling back before wrapping her arms around him in return.

"Y/n, I love you so much. You don't understand. Even if you didn't get me anything, my greatest gift would be you being here with me. Nothing else matters. I love you so so so much."

She slightly giggles, nodding her head on his shoulder. "I love you a lot, too. I wouldn't have cared if you got me a gift or not." After finishing that, she frowns. "Not that I don't care for it! I'll cherish it with everything I've got! I don't mean--" She gets cut off by his laugh.

"I know," He looks back at her with a giant grin on his face while he lets out a few more laughs.

She smiles and once he stops laughing, she pecks him on his lips. "Merry Christmas, Amane."

He giggles. "Merry Christmas, my dork."

Bonus:

She lightly whacks his arm. "Dork? Really?"

"I mean..." He trails off, whistling.

She frowns and furrows her eyebrows.

Hanako grins and slowly let's her go, going to the door behind the couch. "I think I'll just take my leave..." H opens the door and closes it behind him.

She watches before shaking her head and following.

"Kid? Yashiro? What are you guys doing--"

"We couldn't just not give you guys gifts! It's Christmas!! Why not celebrate it with our friends?"

Y/n smiles. "Yashiro!! Kou!!" She hugs Yashiro, Yashiro hugging back with a big smile.

"Hi Y/n. We've got some things for you both." They then pull out the presents.

"Oh. Then I'll be back." Y/n grins and goes to grab the presents she got them and their cookies. What a day they have ahead.
