Nevermore Academy - New England
Y/N, Wednesday and Thing were browsing Nevermore's library, searching for the purple book that Y/N had described. Wednesday and Thing were searching the lower shelves whilst Y/N stood atop a levitating book he'd enchanted to see the higher ones.
"This one?" Y/N heard the raven-haired girl call out, holding a purple book.
"The cover was a bit darker," Y/N replied zooming down on his flying book.
"What have I told you about enchanting school property, Mr L/N?" Ms Thornhill could be heard at the entrance of the library.
"... not to?"
"Do it in private," she smiled childishly with a small chuckle. "I don't usually find students in here looking for actual books. Most sneak in to make out."
"I was gonna save that for later," Y/N laughed, nudging Wednesday's shoulder. He was quickly met with the light purple book to the face. "Kidding..."
"Is there something I can help you find?" Thornhill asked.
Wednesday held up a small, badly drawn image of the logo Y/N had seen on the purple book. Y/N was rubbing his nose in pain, so Wednesday took over.
"Have you seen this before?" She asked. "It's a watermark from a book we're looking for."
"I think it's the symbol to an old student society, although the image is crudely drawn," Thornhill said, causing Y/N to grow a frown, as he had been the artist behind the drawing. "Um... The Nightshades."
"Yeah, but that's all we could find out," Y/N admitted.
"I was told they disbanded years ago," she continued.
"Any idea as to why?" Wednesday asked, folding up the paper and pocketing it.
"Sorry," Ms Thornhill shook her head and left towards the back of the library.

It was early morning the next day. Y/N and Wednesday could be seen on the roof of Nevermore, with the female picking the lock of Xavier Thorpe's bedroom window. The room owner had gone on his daily morning run, as Y/N often sees him take.
The sound of a click caught Y/N's attention, followed by the window being opened and Wednesday slipping inside. Y/N climbed in behind her, careful not to knock any of Xavier's drawing equipment off the windowsill. Wednesday stopped and allowed Y/N to open her backpack, releasing Thing from his prison and setting him loose in the dorm.
"Keep an eye out for that book," Wednesday whispered.
Thing dived underneath Rowan's old bed as the couple looked around the room. One side was completely bare, whilst the other had hundreds of small images postered on the walls. Superheroes, robots, self-portraits, and any random image that Xavier drew, it could be found upon the wall.
"We have approximately ten minutes to find this book," Y/N stated beginning to rummage through Rowan's draws while Wednesday did the same on Xavier's side.
"Let's hope you watching Xavier work out pays off," Wednesday smirked.
"Was that a joke?" Y/N questioned, popping his head out from behind a lamp and sliding over to his girlfriend. "Did my silent-but-deadly girlfriend just make a joke?"
"Tell anyone and I'll gut you like a fish," she said kissing his cheek and looking at Thing. "Couples do this, right?"
"I hope that first thing was another one of your hilarious jokes," Y/N said as Thing did a thumb up behind him. The sentient hand had been teaching Wednesday how to be better at romance, at her request of course.
