𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐂𝐎𝐋𝐃 𝐀𝐈𝐑 𝐒𝐖𝐄𝐏𝐓 𝐓𝐇𝐄 𝐃𝐄𝐂𝐎𝐑𝐀𝐓𝐄𝐃 𝐒𝐇𝐀𝐑𝐄𝐃 𝐑𝐎𝐎𝐌, the two females sitting idly on their respective beds. one humming the tune of the music playing, as she scrolled online watching all genders faun over her daily posts. the other calmly reading an intriguing book about the human mind. both polar opposites, but like a scale, they balance each other out almost perfectly.

"can you turn that awful music down?" yuki bluntly questioned, holding a deadpanned look. amara slammed her phone down in annoyance, rolling her chocolate-colored eyes. the intellectual female turned her head, unbothered at the sudden motion. she raised her eyebrow at the intimidating glare amara held, which would make anyone curl in their bed except yuki.

"it's not awful if you're the only one who thinks it's awful." the brunette stated annoyingly, turning the music up, causing yuki to pinch her nose. "plus, all my followers love it!" she grinned, holding up her phone showing the plethora number of likes. yuki shook her head, releasing curse words under her breath. suddenly the egotistical females stomach grumbled. "you want to get some food?"

the annoyed blond simply ignored the hungry girl, flipping the page of her book almost sassily. "yukiii!" amara whined, having a pout evident on her beautiful features. yuki looked up at the girl, holding an eyebrow up, proceeding to divert her attention back to her psychological book. "okay, i'm sorry for not turning the music down! it won't happen again." she mumbled the last sentence, biting her lip as she looked away from the blond.

"what was that?" yuki teased, having already heard her. amara groaned, covering her face with her hands in annoyance.

"it won't happen again." she grimaced, stating it louder than before.

"promise?" yuki held her pinky up, loving the fact she kept receiving a reaction. the brunette harshly wrapped her pinky around the blonds, which led to yuki finally standing from her comfortable position.

"let's go get ramen!" amara exclaimed, excitedly clapping her hands together. yuki lowly chuckled at her roommate's antics.

the two girls walked through the busy streets of tokyo, sharing a pair of headphones, which amara forced yuki to wear. the brunette hummed the tune of the song, as the annoyed girl rolled her dark brown eyes. yuki yanked the headphones off, stopping the music for both females.

"you bitch!" amara whined, frowning.

"let's go to that ramen place you love so much." yuki stated, ignoring the whines of her best friend. the whiny female's demeanor quickly shifted into a happy one, striding happily to the train station.

a male around their age glanced at amara, admiring her features, until said girl caught him and he quickly diverted his attention elsewhere. amara smirked, looking at yuki, who shook her head jokingly. "they love me." she twiddled her hair confidently.

"and you could care less." the blond added, causing amara to nod happily in agreement. the two comfortably walked in silence, up until they reached the dirty yet nostalgic station.

yuki grabbed ahold of the machine to finally pay for their tickets, not before being stopped by amara's arm, guiding her to the revolvers.

"don't you remember, one of them lets you pass without a ticket." the brunette revealed, pointing at the old rustic machinery.

"there's like fifty, it'll be faster to just pay." yuki turned down the idea, turning back to the machine. before the blond could pay, she turned her head swiftly at a clinking sound.

"found it!" amara smirked, the broken one being the first one she apprehended. yuki's mouth remained agape, her friend's incredible luck never failed to stun her. she followed the brunette, both girls making it to the other side, but not before being rudely pushed by three boys running from god knows what.

"what the fuck? don't fucking push us like that!" the intimidating girl yelled, and then was met by a remorseful yet fearful expression from a boy with messy black hair.

"calm down amara." yuki soothed, staring at the infuriated girl.

"those bitches." the enraged girl stated, rolling her eyes. her roommate lowly chuckled, shaking her head slightly. "wait, why did it get so quiet all of the sudden?"

yuki furrowed her eyebrows at the silence, looking around for any sign of life. the observant girl viewed the trains which had stopped any activity. "what the fuck?"

hours passed, causing the two females to become fearful of their situation. one expressing their emotions more than the other. "yuki what the actual fuck is going on! there's nobody here!" amara yelled, frantically walking back and forth. "and worst of all," the panicking girl pulled out her phone, showing it to yuki. "no service!"

the blond face palmed herself, still trying to come up with a logical explanation for this. "maybe there was an evacuation?" amara suggested, which yuki shook her head, denying the claim.

"we would have heard it too, there's no way everyone would have heard it except us." the intellectual girl explained, causing the brunette to sigh at the predicament they were in.

"yeah i guess you're rig-" amara's reply was swiftly interrupted by the big screen which usually held advertisements, now being white and blank. "that shit interrupted me." she complained, but was shushed by yuki, who observing the lettering on the screen. amara crossed her arms in front of her at the rudeness she was experiencing all day.

'welcome players, the game will commence in a moment'

"game?" the blond mumbled to herself, trying to come up with some kind of explanation.

"is this like one of those social experiments?" amara questioned, causing yuki to look at her with a deadpanned look. before she could reply with her usual smart remarks, a bright red light shone over a well-known supermarket. "okay this is creeping me out." the conversation was cut short by yuki walking towards the weird sighting, causing amara to widen her eyes. "yuki!"

the blond ignored the complaining girl, simply swaying her hand signaling to follow her.

"we are doing exactly what we tell people not to do in horror movies." amara said, frowning as she followed her roommate.
