Hi. My name is Heather Fox. I love to horseback ride, and in my free time, draw. I sometimes even write little stories. I also have a diary, but it is OFF LIMITS!!! When I'm outside, I like to bring a digital camera for photography. Yes, I do like photography but, I stay focused on my horse, Nate. Nate is a flea bitten gray thoroughbred horse. He is fifteen hands. Nate has been my horse for four years.
It's Friday afternoon and I just arrived at my new boarding school, Wellington Prep. My roommate, Sasha Silver, is also a rider. Her horse is named Tubby. This is her second year at Wellington Prep though.
She seems really nice. Also, she's a clean freak just like me. I think I'm looking at a good seventh grade year. Well, I hope I'm looking at a good seventh grade year. What's funny is that we both love coffee. We both would choose coffee over tea any day. Starbucks is the place to go, and gladly, there's one on campus! I can't survive without a Starbucks that I can go to. My favorite drink? White chocolate mocha! Definitely. Sasha's favorite drink, guess what? The same thing! We are so alike, and I'm so glad that we got to be rooming together!
"I'm going to go to the stable to get Nate all settled in. I'll see you later tonight!" I called out.
"Okay! See you later! I'm going to unpack. Hey! Wait!" She responded.
"What?" I called back, walking backwards.
"Choose your side of the room! Since you are new, I thought I'd let you choose your side of the room and I'll just take the other side. Plus, I don't care." She stated, almost screaming of excitement.
"Okay... Are you sure, because what if I choose the side of the room you want?" I asked.
"No! I don't care what side of the room I get! I'm fine. Choose any side of the room you want." She answered.
"Okay! I choose..." I paused, trying to decide, " The right side of the room. Thank you so much for letting me choose. Anyways, see you later! Bye!" I exclaimed rushing out of the room so I can make it back before 10:00. At Wellington Prep, you had to be in bed by 10:00.
I checked my watch. It was 7:00. I planned on getting back by 9:15 so I had enough time to get Nate settled into his new stall, and put my tack away. I got down to the stable, and did what I needed. I ran into this girl in the tack room with gorgeous straight dark brown hair. She had a beautiful shade of caramel skin which made her ocean blue eyes pop.
"Hi." She said to who I was assuming was me. "Are you new? My name is Callie. Callie Harper. Nice to meet you." She told me in a very gentle voice.
She seemed nice, but I did not want to get on her bad side. I was cautious with what I said and introduced myself. "Hi. I'm Heather Fox. Also, I am the new kid. You guessed it. Is it to obvious?" Oh. No. I hesitated. Why did I ask such a dumb question? Is it to obvious? What? Why?
She laughed. "You do seem a little clueless." And with that, she left. Okay? I just finished what I had to do and I went back to my dorm. Wait... Oh no! Where had my dorm key gone? Wait... I brought it down, and I had it when I put Nate in his stall. Could Callie have taken it?
I just knocked, and Sasha opened the door for me. I told her about everything and she told me about Callie. Callie was apparently the queen bee of the school. After I knew about her, it seemed a lot like Callie to take my dorm keys. We stoped talking about Callie and started talking about other things.
It was getting late but we've been talking about what we were going to do tomorrow. First, we're going to go to Starbucks, then, Sasha is going to introduce me to her friends, and lastly we're having a girls night. Painting each other's nails, face masks, and all.
After we talked, I went to shower, and brushed my teeth. I finished all that just in time. It was 9:30. It wasn't 10:00 yet, but I was exhausted. I went to sleep anyway.
