It's been two hours since I left the house and went to my therapist because she wanted me to come in today to see how I was doing which I think I'm doing alright
"So Melani how are you handling your moms death " miss nia asked
"Well I'm doing ok I was crying when I first found out but I done cried so much I'm drained out " I said looking at her
"Well listen this isn't your first death in the family and I know how it is so I wanna do a little test run with you rn to see what I can do " miss nia said
"Alright " I responded
"So how was your relationship with your mom" miss nia asked
"Well at first I didn't really know her because she was getting high and drinking at the time " I said
" So when I was with my grandma she would try and call or come see me but she would always be out of it which hurt me to see at a young age " my voice cracked
"Mhm I see so looking back at them memories really hurt you " miss nia asked
"Mhm" I said as I nodded
"Ok so I want you to be straight forward with me don't hold back I don't want you to hold back tell me everything that happened and I'm listening so don't stop" miss nia said as she wrote what I was saying down
"Ok umm once my grandma died and I got into foster care I immediately got treated badly I would get abused and that's when I tried to kill myself but nobody in that placed cared about me or what I was going through it was like a hell hole , " I started crying even more and I looked in the mirror that was in front of me and my eyes was red
"After about 5 months in that place my parents finally got me out and it took me some warming up to do but I finally got used to them to where I would literally tell them everything but once I got kidnapped my whole life changed I joined gangs smoked skipped school snuck out and went to parties " I said
"Wait I thought you didn't get kidnapped you said before you ran away" miss nia said
Awe shit .
"Yea but it still feels like I was kidnapped not physical but mental like it wasn't me yk " I said
"Yea that makes since" miss nia said

"That's why I'm taking you to the doctors to test to see if you have any disorders or anything because you and I both decided you have anger issues and bipolar but we need to see what the doctors say" miss nia said
