TO OVERCOME LONG DISTANCE
my darling, although miles apart we stand
i imagine you with me, hand in hand
your voice a gentle, soft balm
that eases all the loneliness and qualm
oh, how much i long to hold you, to feel your warm touch
and to be with you, that's all i crave so much
but distance stands between us, a challenging test
of the love that we share, of which i'm most blessed
although miles apart, you don't have to feel alone
for our love is our beacon, our guiding stone
i count the days, the hours and the minutes
until we are together, my love still infinite
until then, i'll continue to hold you close to my heart
as we await for our new beginning to start
and keep the flame of our burning love aglow
my darling, i assure you that i'll never let you go.
