Elmwood Township, New Jersey
Rosie was in Math class, her stomach growling nonstop. She couldn't focus on her Math problems. It was almost lunchtime, and her eyes were glued to the clock.
"Rosie, please do your work!" commanded Mr. Rushford.
"How can I concentrate on an empty stomach?" she moaned.
The bell rang, and it was now time for lunch. Rosie bolted out of her class, and raced towards the cafeteria. She got in line, and looked at the menu. Hot dogs and baked beans were being served today. She got her lunch tray, and got served her food. She sat down next to her friends, Fifi, Debby, Elaine, and Michelle.
"Hey, buddies!" she sang. She took a bite of her hot dog, and washed it down with her carton of chocolate milk.
"This school serves the best cafeteria food!" said Fifi, eating her baked beans.
Rosie enjoyed her lunch.
