Outreach day

*A month later*

Y/N'S POV

"A cappuccino and a donut" I say

"That'll be 7,35$"

I pay and wait, ten minutes later Tyler hands me my order and I go sit at a booth

"A matcha latte please" a familiar voice says

I look to my left and see Miss Thornhill standing at the counter, she turns her head and sees me, she smiles and I feel my cheeks heating up

"Miss Y/l/n, hi"

She walks towards me and sits down

"How are you?"

"I'm good" I show her a small smile

I finish eating my donut and drink the last sip of my coffee, I grab my things and stand up

"Bye Miss Thornhill"

I leave the Weathervane and walk around town

*An hour later*

I exit the shop and notice that it's raining. I let out a groan, take off my coat and place it over my head

Before I can start running a car stops in front of me and I furrow my eyebrows, the window rolls down and I see Miss Thornhill

"Get in" she says

I open the car door and get in the passenger seat, I close the door and the redhead starts driving, a few minutes later she turns on the radio and we listen to some music

"The next song is Sweet Melody by Little Mix"

I smile and without thinking about it I turn the volume up and start singing along, when the song ends I hear a little giggle and I quickly turn the volume down

"S-sorry" I say

"You're so cute and you have a very beautiful voice"

I start blushing and quickly cover my face with my hair to not let her notice it, we arrive at the academy and I look at my professor

"Thank you for the ride"

"No problem"

I get out of the car and go inside

*A few days later*

"All students will report for their volunteer jobs at 10am sharp followed by a community lunch at 1:00" Weems says

"As you know, this year Outreach day culminates in a very special event...the dedication of a new memorial statue in the town square, which will also include performances by Nevermore students" she continues

"As representatives of our school I trust you will all put your best face forward" she concludes

Miss Thornhill hands me an assignment letter and I open it

"What did you get?" Enid asks me

"The Weathervane, what about you?"

"Uriah's Heap"

I let out a giggle and my friend groans

"Don't laugh! That store is so weird and creepy"

"It's just for a few hours, you'll survive" I say
