Jake slept over at Shinobu's mansion for the night as he woke up yawning as he heard a knock as Jake looked at the door
Jake: Come in

Jake: Aww hello there little ones is that for me?
They nodded
Sumi: Yes
Naho: Aoi made it but couldn't take it to you
Sumi: She's busy with three patients

Jake: well thank you for the food you three

Jake was drooling again as he gobbled his food up in only 5 minutes as he smiled (How is he eating with a Mask on? Does he sleep with it on as well?!)
Jake: Thank Aoi for the good meal! Anyways im going to leave for today now alright
The two girls were saddened but nodded as I was on my way to start building my home
Jake: Alright its time to get to work
Two weeks later
Jake was still building his house which he wished he finished but he is constantly called for some minor missions every minute which is taking the house building a little longer then it needed to be but he did get to see Tanjiro again along with hearing the screams from a yellow haired boy and a kid with a boar head ever since they started some training Shinobu made them do.
Jake: wow they are very fucking loud
The next day
It was actually night time as Jake was entering as he heard some noises as he looks up and See Tanjiro and Shinobu as he decided to listen in on the conversation
Tanjiro: Um, why did you bring us all here?
Shinobu: Nezuko's existence has been officially acknowledged, and the three of you were injured so seriously. And also, I like to entrust my dream to you.
Tanjiro: Dream?
Jake's mind: Dream?
Shinobu: Yes. My dream that we can become friends with the demons. Im quite sure you can accomplish that
Jake smiled as it looks like Shinobu felt serious about this dream of hers as Jake always wanted to do the same but he ends up killing them due to them attacking first or not listening to him
Tanjiro: Are you angry?
Shinobu made a shocked looking face as well as Jake from the ground
Jake's mind: What does he mean is she angry?!
Tanjiro: For some reason, I'm always picking up an angry scent from you even though your smiling
After a brief pause Shinobu answered
Shinobu: Yes. You're right. It might be true that im in a constant state of anger. Ever since my beloved big sister was slaughtered by a demon. Every time I see the tears of those who've lost their loved ones to a demon, every time I hear the cries of despair, the anger keeps building up inside me and continues to swell
Jake listened to every word she said as he felt saddened as he kept listening
Shinobu: Deep down in the innermost depths of my body, there's a revulsion that I can't fight. I'm sure the other Hashira feel something similar, as well.
It was true even deep down as much he wants to convince demons they are ok and tries to make them good he still hated them
Shinobu: Well, this time, they saw Nezuko, who's never devoured a human, with their own eyes, and they've memorized her presence. Out of respect for the Master's wishes, I don't think anyone will raise a hand to her.
There was long silence between Tanjiro and Shinobu
Shinobu: My big sister was a kind-hearted person like you. She had sympathy for demons. Even when she was on the brink of death, she still felt pity for them
Jake's mind: It sounds like her sister was the nicest women of all time
Shinobu: I couldn't bring myself to feel that way. How can you feel sorry for something that's killed humans? I've never heard of anything this absurd. But if that was how my sister truly felt, then I must carry it on. If there's a way not to kill these pitiful demons, I have to keep trying to come up with it. Without ever extinguishing the smile that my sister said she loved...
Jake started to feel more and more bad as it was like he wanted to cry but couldn't
Shinobu: But now, I'm a bit exhausted. Demons do nothing but lie. Losing all reason out of self-preservation, they murder humans with their instincts laid totally bare
Shinobu stood up as Jake looked up but made sure he still not spotted
Shinobu: Tanjiro, please do all that you can. Please find a way to protect Nezuko until the end. Knowing that you're working so hard in my place reassures me to no end. I can rest easy now
Jake smiled as he can see Tanjiro being nice to demons like how Shinobu's sister was
Shinobu: Your Total Concentration Breathing has came to a halt.
Tanjiro finally realized he stopped his total concentration breathing as Shionbu Vanished as Jake smiled wishing he could comfort her
Tanjiro: I'll work hard at it!
Right before Tanjiro Continues he smelled the air smelling something new around as he looked around finding nothing as Jake was already inside going to his room for the night as he whispered to himself
Jake: Shinobu, I promise to help Tanjiro as much as I can
