CHAPTER SEVEN
"LET ME GO!" "NO."

"Alright, I'm good, let's go." Phil gets out the car I was at the door holding the crutches in place for him as he stands properly getting his footing.

"You good?" I ask. "Yep." He answers.

I stay by his side while we walk into the arena for Raw. I am a little weary about him being out of the brace and discharging from the hospital so quickly, but he's been saying he doesn't want to sit at home and doing nothing.

"You got a match tonight?" He asks me.

I nod. "Against Beth."

He looks at me with uncertainty. "I'm know I'm nervous about it too." I agree.

Of course, I was nervous. This is Beth freaking Pheonix were talking about! She is a veteran and dominates every time she steps in the ring. Win or lose she leaves a mark each time. I'm gonna get killed.

"Don't psych yourself out. Even if you lose. Put up a fight, show people you can't be dealt with easily. You're Astrid. Not a Bella Twin." He advises.

"Hey, they're my friends." I defend them at the jab.

But he was right. Even if I lose, I still gotta show everyone I'm strong enough to hang with the girls up here.

"What about you, you got anything tonight with the injury?" I question.

"I'm gonna address the WWE fans about my injury, they don't think it's legit." He answers.

"I can't blame them to be honest." He snaps his head to me, an offended look on his face.

"I'm serious, I mean look at all the stuff with the Shield. People think you hired them, and you've been denying it non-stop." I tell him.

"It wouldn't be shocking if this injury is fake." Of course, I know the injury isn't fake but from the perspective of the fans, the way it's been for the last few weeks I'd be on edge about if Phil is being truthful. Phil can be very persuasive with his words, especially when it comes to cutting a promo, it's part of why the fans love him, the realness he puts in makes it seem completely from the heart. So, when he made his heel turn you could've practically heard the heartbreak everyone had.

We arrive at his lockeroom door when I speak again. "All I'm saying is maybe if you just cut ties with the shield your fans wouldn't think that. And besides, you've been champion for a year now, you don't need them." I shrug.
