Y/N and Toto came across a field as you were mumbling. "Follow the Yellow Brick Road? Follow the Yellow...." now you do not know what to do because there were three pathways, one on the left, one straight ahead and one on the right. You were almost getting frustrated because you do not know what to do. "Now which way do we go?"

A Scarecrow is shown on a pole in a nearby corn field. "Pardon me? That way is a very nice way." A voice said and the Scarecrow was pointing in the left direction with his left arm.

"Who said that?" You asked, as Toto started to bark at the Scarecrow. "Don’t be silly, Toto. Scarecrows don’t talk."

"It’s pleasant down that way, too." A voice said and now the Scarecrow is pointing his right arm in the right direction.

"That’s funny - wasn’t he pointing the other way?" Y/N asked your dog.

"Of course, people do go both ways." The voice said as you saw the Scarecrow pointing with his both hands across from his head as you gaped in shock.

"You did say something, didn’t you?" You stepped up at the Scarecrow and the Scarecrow shook his head then smile and nods his head at you, which was just plain confusing to you. "Are you doing that on purpose, or can’t you make up your mind?"

"That’s the trouble. I can’t make up my mind. I haven’t got a brain - only straw." The scarecrow said.

"How can you talk if you haven’t got a brain?" (Y/N) asked, confused.

That actually was a good question, "I don’t know. But some people without brains do an awful lot of talking, don't they?" Scarecrow asked.

"Yes, I guess you’re right." You smiled and went to the cornfield. "Well, we haven’t really met properly, have we?"

"Why no!" The scarecrow said.

"How do you do?" You curtsied a bit.

"How do you do?" Scarecrow asked.

"Very well, thank you." You respond with a smile.

"I’m not feeling at all well. It’s very tedious being stuck up here all day long with a pole up your back." Scarecrow said.

"That must be terribly uncomfortable. Can’t you get down?" You asked.

"Down? No, you see, I’m.... Well, I’m...." Scarecrow stumbled on his words.
