Dust settles on the scene.
A mother, crying out for her baby girl.
A brother, wishing for more time.
A father, numb with loss.
A friend, blaming themself.
A teacher, hating themself for not seeing the signs.
A boyfriend, slowly dying inside.
A young girl, laying on the floor.
All frozen in time for her to contemplate.
She is done watching.
'Go'
She lets the word fall softly from her lips.
And the world goes.
