Why do children find pain so funny?
Why do people find pain so rewarding?
We are slaves to
This cruel joke that brings satisfaction from pain
When nothing else brings joy
Pain can be beautiful
To those who know how to look at it
Without feeling your own
Mercy!

The words make it seem like pain is safety
Like you have a limit
And freedom to boundaries
Pain is not freedom
It does not give you
A choice or
A way out
Pain does not listen
To a child's call of
Mercy!
