As Xui Shin approached the door, he couldn't help but steal one final glance behind him. Xui Ying lay serenely in the comforting cradle of the Kang, peacefully immersed in slumber. A deep sigh escaped from Xui Shin's lips, his heart filled with reassurance that all would be well. Softly, he leaned closer to the door, uttering, "Goodnight, Xui Ying. Ge adores you," before venturing into the mysterious embrace of the night.

As Xui Shin stepped out into the night, a chilly breeze brushed against his face, causing him to shiver slightly. The moonlight illuminated the path before him, casting long shadows on the ground. He took a deep breath, trying to calm the multitude of thoughts swirling in his mind.

With each step, memories of their shared laughter and joy flooded his thoughts. Xui Ying had always been a brilliant and bright  second younger brother, his gentle spirit bringing warmth and solace to his life. They had been through countless trials together, supporting each other every step of the way. And now, as they faced yet another challenge, Xui Shin couldn't help but feel a sense of both worry and determination.

As he made his way through the quiet courtyards, his mind wandered back to the promise he had made to Xui Ying. He whispered it again, as if the words could somehow transcend the physical distance between them. "I love you, Xui Ying. I'll always be here for you," he murmured to the night, hoping that his heartfelt message would reach her slumbering soul.As the first rays of sunlight gently kissed his face, Xui slowly opened his eyes, only to be greeted by a merciless pounding in his head. He groaned, instantly regretting his decision to indulge in rice wine the previous night. Determined to learn from this painful lesson, he vowed to himself never to repeat the mistake again.

Meanwhile, in the adjacent room, Xui's loyal servants overheard the faint sound of their young master's musing. Recognizing the signs of his discomfort, the servant sprang into action, knowing exactly what needed to be done. With utmost dedication, they swiftly began to prepare a soothing bath for the young master, ensuring that the water would be of the perfect temperature to ease Xui's throbbing headache. Mama Chu carefully measured out the herbs and oils known for their healing properties, adding them to the warm water with precision. She knew that the combination of lavender, chamomile, and mint would work wonders in relieving the young master pounding headache. As she stirred the mixture, she couldn't help but feel a sense of satisfaction, knowing that he could provide comfort to the young master in his time of need.

Once the bath was ready, the servants gently knocked on Xui's bedroom door, announcing their presence. "Young master, the bath water  is ready, and it will help soothe your headache," one young yahuan said softly, her voice filled with concern.

Xui, still feeling the effects of the rice wine, dragged himself out of bed and stumbled towards the bathroom. The servant girls guided him, making sure he didn't lose his balance. With each step, Xui's head throbbed, making it difficult for him to focus on anything else. The servant's presence and support were a source of relief amidst the pain.

As Xui eased himself into the bath, the warmth enveloped his body, providing instant relief. The soothing scent of the herbs filled the air, calming his senses. Closing his eyes, he allowed himself to be immersed in the healing waters, feeling the tension slowly melt away.

The servants stood nearby, ready to assist if needed. They watched over Xui, ensuring his comfort and well-being. With every passing minute, they could see the young master's pain dissipate, replaced by a sense of tranquility and ease. It was a small gesture, but it was their way of showing their unwavering loyalty and dedication to Xui ying.

After a while, Xui Ying emerged from the bath, his headache now a mere memory. He looked at Mama Chu  with gratitude in his eyes. "I am truly fortunate to have you by my side." His wet nurse's presence was a source of comfort  for xui Ying. She was the only one by his side in the cold palace. Mama Chu bowed respectfully, a smile spreading across her face. "It is my honor to serve you, young Master. Your well-being is my utmost priority," she replied humbly while drying Xui long flowing hair. Xui, the young master, nodded in gratitude, appreciating Mama Chu's unwavering dedication. Her gentle touch and meticulousness in drying his long, flowing hair reflected the deep bond they shared. The warm, fragrant air filled the room as Mama Chu skillfully maneuvered her hands through Xui's locks, ensuring every strand was perfectly in place.

As she continued her work, Mama Chu couldn't help but reminisce about the day she first began serving the Wang fu . The young was just a child then, with wide, curious eyes and a mischievous smile. Mama Chu had been entrusted with his care, and she had taken her role seriously, vowing to protect and nurture him as if he were her own.

Over the years, Mama Chu had witnessed Xui's growth,As the years passed, Mama Chu had become not only Xui's confidante but also his mentor. She imparted wisdom and guidance, teaching him the values of compassion, humility, and honor. Mama Chu's teachings had shaped Xui Ying into a kind-hearted, responsible young man.

With each stroke of the comb, Mama Chu's thoughts wandered to the challenges that lay ahead for the young master. The weight of his family's expectations and the pressures of his position as the heir to the wang dynasty were immense. Yet, Mama Chu was determined to be his rock, his pillar of strength, guiding him through the tumultuous journey of life.

Finally, as Mama Chu put the finishing touches on Xui's hair, she stepped back, her eyes filled with pride and admiration. "You look exquisite, young Master," she complimented, her voice filled with genuine warmth.Xui Ying, a young man who had been suffering from the pain of transforming into a carrier, felt a sense of relief today. It had been a week since the excruciating process began. He gazed at the plum blossom petal, imprinted in purple on his inner wrist. This mark had appeared four nights ago, signifying his role as a carrier. Sitting quietly, he observed the mark while his servants served him breakfast. Normally, he would have made his way to the main house to greet his mother and grandmother in the morning, but the lingering discomfort in his stomach made him decide to take it easy for the day.

As he washed his hands, he heard Mama Chu's voice coming from the outer chambers.

"Who is it?" he called out, taking a sip of the herbal medicine that was meant to nourish his body. He winced at its bitter taste.

"It's Stewart Chin," Mama Chu responded.

"Let him in," Xui Ying said. He needed to know what was happening at the Duke's mansion and whether the Duchess would come to propose a marriage alliance.

Stewart Chin, a trusted informant, entered the room with a solemn expression on his face. Xui Ying knew that his arrival meant something important had occurred.

"Stewart, what news do you bring?" Xui Ying asked, his voice filled with anticipation.

Stewart took a moment to catch his breath before speaking. "My lord, the Duchess has indeed sent a proposal for a marriage alliance. She wishes to strengthen the bond between our families and unite our powers."

Xui Ying's heart skipped a beat at the mention of the Duchess's interest in him. This could be the opportunity he had been waiting for, a chance to secure his family's future and protect them from the impending threats. But he couldn't ignore the doubts that lingered within him.

"What are her intentions, Stewart? Is this alliance purely strategic? And is the duke aware Xui Ying asked, his gaze fixed on the plum blossom mark on his wrist.

Stewart's eyes met Xui Ying's, understanding the weight of his concern. "My lord, I can not say for certain. The Duchess is known for her cunning and ambition, but she has also shown a genuine interest in you. Perhaps she already put her intentions before wangye."

Xui Ying sighed, conflicted between duty and his own desires. He had always dreamed of marrying for love in his past life, not political gain. However, the reality of their precarious situation forced him to marry again in this life.
