3rd Person POV
kamari let her flowers do what they did, they shot up and wrapped around the boy as they created a cushion for him, she stared as he landed on it, dick pulled her up and she fell into his arms as she cried. she knew he wasn't gone, he was safe but there was still some part of her that thought she was going to lose him , she had known him for a week and felt scared to lose him
"mari come on we have to go check on him" dick said and she stood up from his arms as she ran down the stairs as fast as she could. kory and dick followed closely behind the girl, they had never seen someone move so fast for someone else. well maybe hank and dawn but kamari had a look of fear and hurry in her eyes that made them almost scared of her and what she could do.
"JASON" she yelled as she ran over to him and he turned to her. he made eye contact as she ran over and looked over him. she grabbed his face and looked in his eyes as he stared at yours
"I almost lost you" she told him and he sighed as he leaned in and put his forehead to yours.
"but you didn't. I'm right here, I'm not going anywhere I promise" he said softly as he searched her eyes for something. she stared at him before she looked over and saw a man leaning against the car with jason.
"this guy saved my life kam, he needs help" jason told the girl and she nodded. they went to the titans tower, kamari went to her room as jason went to his. she stared at the ceiling as she tried to remember what had happened, her mother would usually tell her to grow up and ignore it but she couldn't.
kamari lay on her bed as she stared at the ceiling, she wished that it didn't happen. maybe if she hadn't shown up, none of this would've happened but she knew that wasn't true. she heard music blasting in the training room and she knew it was jason but she also knew that he needed time to himself for him to think and figure out his emotions.
"How are you doing?" someone asked and she turned to see dawn in the doorway. it was past midnight and she knew that
"I'm okay, is jason okay?" she asked
"you really care about him don't you?" Dawn said as she walked over and sat next to the girl, she grabbed maris hand and sighed
"I do, I almost lost him dawn and I don't know what I would do. have you ever felt that way about someone?" she asked and just then dick walked by the room
"yeah, try to get some sleep kam," Dawn said she got up and she walked out of kams room and kam sighed. she didn't know what to do, she didn't want to sit around doing nothing. that felt stupid and she hated it.
"hey" she heard and she turned her head again to see jason standing in the doorway. he looked like he had taken a shower
"hey" she exclaimed
"are you okay?" he asked her and she scoffed
"you fell from a building and you're asking me how I'm doing?" she stated and he shrugged
"look, I don't want to be alone right now, can I stay in here for the night?" he questioned and she nodded
"yeah come on" she said and he walked over as he laid on her bed. she pulled him in and he laid on her chest as she played with his hair and he sighed. she felt him begin to cry and she sighed too
"I'm here, I'm right here" she whispered and he nodded as he continued to cry. no one had ever cared so much about him to do this and right now he didn't know how to take it. how do you handle the fact that someone loved you enough to be there? he didn't know how to deal with it and maybe he didn't want to deal with that right now.
but when she woke up the next morning, he was gone and she sighed. he understood why he left, she didn't want him to but she did. however when she got up, she looked around and there it was. one of her moms poison darts. she picked it up and spun it around in her hands
"what the fuck?" she said and she walked out. dawn, hank and donna all turned to her and she held up the dart
"someone is fucking with us" she stated and then jason stormed down the hall with Rachel following after him
"don't fucking walk away from me" rachel yelled
"woah hey whats happening here?" dawn asked
"jason drew crucifixes all over my mirror" rachel said
"bullshit" jason exclaimed
"jason its okay if you're angry" dawn said
"I didn't do shit, okay? don't blame me for her voodoo issues" jason said and he turned to kamari
"look jason couldn't have done it , he was with me all night; I swear" kamari jumped to his defense. sure, jason was angry but he wouldn't do that. not after everything he had gone through and dealt with.
"okay well somebody drew crosses on rachels mirror and she thinks jason did it" dawn said
"I know he did it" rachel retorted
"cute idea with the bourbon bottle , I'm more of a sour mash guy myself. you ever go into my room and do that shit again, ill forget what team your on" hank spoke up and kamari snapped her head to him. the vines were running up her arms.
"why, jason?" donna asked
"I don't know what happened guys but I- i didn't do it" jason tried
"what about the picture of ellis?" dawn asked
"the orange soda bottle?" donna said
"he did it to you guys, too?" rachel exclaimed
"fuck this. you people are insane, id rather be with deathstroke then you assholes. you think everything is my fault" jason exclaimed and he walked off. kamari stared at him and then dick walked in but she walked off. she didn't know where jason was and she was scared
the others didn't believe him but she did and she always would.
kam couldn't lose him again
