I was out in the woods, arriving as last. Lydia, Scott and Malia were already there. "I went to bed at home and I woke up in the woods." He says and I frown. "About a mile out. I think there's a reason why this happened." Scott says and I let him finish.
Scott dreamt too.
"I've been out here before. It was the beginning of sophomore year," he starts and we begin walking.
"The night before tryouts for first line. I remember because it was all that I could think about."
"What were you doing?" Malia asks and I wonder too. Why would he be out in the woods all alone?
"Looking for a dead body." He says and I shudder. "That's morbid." Lydia says and I realise something. "I remember. Laura Hale. But... it wasn't you who told me." I say and Scott nods, moving his hand as gesture.
"Exactly, what was I doing out here all alone?" He says proving my point. "I wish I could help you, but I didn't know you then." Lydia says. "I was still a coyote, so I might've tried to eat it." Great, Malia.
"Deaton said that my subconscious is trying to tell me something. But I need your guys to help me figure out what it's saying."
I look at Scott. "I have a thought." I say and they all look at me. "I dreamt too." I say and Scott's expression changes. "I was at the sheriffs house. There was something about... I don't remember him having a wife, besides, I feel like I've spent most of my time there. I remember it in the back of my head, but I wouldn't know why since, you know..."
They never had any children.
"I was at the sheriff'ss house and you were in the woods while there was a sheriff needed. That can be a connection right? Or am I just spitting things?" I ask and Lydia shakes her head. "It could make sense."
"I live 5 miles away from here, how did I get here?" He says and Malia frowns. "You drove?"
"I didn't have a car."
"You ran?"
"I couldn't have, I had asthma. I was hiding. But they knew that I was here." He says and we walk further.
"Maybe you made a ton of noise with your asthmatic breathing." I suggest and Scott shakes his head. "How would they know it was me?"
"Why would the sheriff even know that I was out here?" He asks and I nod. "Because like most deaths in this town, it was related to the supernatural." Lydia says and I shake my head.
"No, you weren't supernatural yet right?" I ask and Scott nods. "Yeah. It was the night that I was bitten. I wasn't a werewolf yet and I wasn't out here alone." He says.
"I know it sounds crazy, but I think I had a best friend." He says and I nod. "And I think he was my best friend too... and maybe... maybe even more." I say, glancing at Lydia.
"You're gonna remember, okay? You're going to have to trust your institution. I know you can fix this." I say, repeating the words that have been echoing in my head since I've woken up.
"That's what he said to me."
"It doesn't sound crazy." Malia says and I look at her. "I know that someone chained me up and I think they wanted me to stay human." Malia says and I look at Lydia.
"I came to school this morning and I was sure I was supposed to meet someone. But I couldn't remember who it was supposed to be. I have been looking for them all day."
"What if we're all looking for the same person?" Scott suggests and I quickly grab the picture I took with me from my pocket.
"And I think he was in this picture. " I say and Lydia points at the gap. "He was sitting right there," she says and we all looked shocked.
"I do have a problem, guys." I say, dropping the bomb. "In my dream, I saw them, I saw the ghost Riders."
