After I had showered, we were taking to the medical centre. Minho had to run, Thomas got his blood tested or whatever and Newt got shots. I however, was told to wait until a Dr. Crawford came for me.

When she finally arrived, I looked at Thomas, seeing the curtains close in front of me with him walking away. "Hello, Jane." It was weird hearing that name come from her mouth, when I've gotten used to Lynn. Again, I suppose.

I nod shortly seeing her holding a needle. "Before we'll take your shots, I want to ask you what you remember." She asks and I sigh. "Nothing." I say and look at her. "Why?" She gives me a cold smile.

"Oh, no reason particular." Of course, I didn't believe her. "Are we done?" I ask, after she had given me some sort of fluid. "For now, yes." I didn't question what she meant by that, instead, I just stood up, walking out.

. . .

There were others. Like a hundred or so, it was... amazing. How is this even possible?

I let Minho guide us, since Thomas is gone. He was big and strong and I know he has a sense of intuition. We ended sitting with a couple of boys.

I look at them, frowning. "How?" I start, stammering a little. "How is this even possible?" Newt chuckles. "I don't know, but it's amazing, isn't it?" He asks and I bite my tongue.

"They're collecting us like puzzle pieces, why." I say and Newt doesn't respond, understanding what I mean. "Why is Thomas gone?" I ask and Newt shrugs. "I don't know, but I'm sure it's important."

I bite my lip, looking around me. "I'm going to these girls for a bit, I'll see you soon." I say and they all nod.

I walk towards a group of table, all girls. I glance around me and when they notice me, they all give me a warm smile. "Hey." Some girls say and I smile.

"Can I join? I got a bit tired of these boys." I joke and they all start laughing. Great. They like me. I hope.

"So, what's your story?" I ask and she smiles. "Well, I'm Allison. I was into a year in the maze when suddenly, boom, this guy shows up." I frown, nodding.

"And then?" She scoffs. "And then? Everything went wrong. These metal monsters came back-" "grievers?" I ask, and she nods, slightly surprised. "Yeah. Grievers." I nod, listening. "They started to attack us- kill us." She takes a deep breathe.

"My friends died that night, but then, in the morning..." she bites her lip, shaking her head. "In the morning we left and came here." She says and i frown. "That kid?" She says, looking at a guy with a grey hoodie on.

"That's him." I look at him, frowning. "What's his name?" I ask and she scoffs. "Aris." I nod carefully, I glance past her, looking at him. "Thomas."  I whisper and quickly stand up, walking towards him.

"Who?" I hear Allison say, but I ignore her, seeing Minho standing up too. I walk towards the two and see them walk back to the table of boys. I sit down too, smiling at the two unfamiliar faces.

"And there was this big, loud explosion, and these guys came out of nowhere." He says and I look at him, nodding slowly.

"They started shooting up the place. It was intense." He says and I frown, we escaped but they didn't? "What about the rest?" Newt asks and he stays silent for a while. "What about the other people who are still left in the maze, what happened to them?" He explains his question further and the boy eventually shrugs.

"I don't know. I guess wicked still has them." He says and I look at him. "How long have you been here?" I ask and he shrugs. "Just a day or two. That kid? He's been over here the longest." My eyes flicker over at Aris, then at Allison, but she wasn't looking at me.

"Almost a week." He says and I frown. "His maze was nothing but girls." He says and Thomas glances at me. "Really?" He asks and I look at them.

"Some guys have all the luck." As if girls trying to survive want a boy in their world...

"Good evening ladies and gentlemen, you all know how this works. If you hear your name called, please rise in an orderly fashion, join my colleagues behind me. Where they will escort you to the Eastern wing. Your new lives are about to begin."

Eastern wing, don't forget.

I look around as people are applauding. He calls a bunch of names, including Allison. I see the girl I've just met smile brightly and walk over to the guards, and I swallow hard.

I'm not sure if I want to be separated from my friends.

"Now, now, don't be discouraged." Janson says when he stops calling name. "There's always tomorrow. Your time, will come." People start applauding and I just stay silent. "Where are they going?" Minho asks and the boy, sighs.

"Far from here. Lucky bastards." He says and I look at him. The other boy, turna around too, sighing. "Some kind of farm, a safe place. They can only take in a couple people at a time." He explains.

"I don't believe them." I say and shake my head. "Jane?" I look up to see a woman standing in front of me. "Yes?" I ask and she glances over at Thomas. "Mr. Janson would like to speak to you." I swallow, looking at my friends.

"Why?" She doesn't reply, and I stand up. "Ly-jane-" Thomas says, correcting himself just in time. "It's okay, I got this." I say and walk with her.

I end up sitting alone in a room for five minutes before Janson came. "Jane." He says and I glance at him. "Mr. Janson." I say and glance at him. "You might have wondered why I pulled you away from the cafeteria." He says and I nod.

"Honestly, it's more because of a question." I don't answer, letting him talk. "Whose side are you on?" I let out a scoff of surprise. "Excuse me?" I ask and he sighs.

"Whose side are you on?" I sigh, shaking my head. "I'm on the side which will lead me home." I say and he smiles. "Good, we are planning too." He says and I scoff.

"Look, I don't want to burst your bubble, but I don't believe one thing of what you're saying." I say, standing up. "So I recommend you give me some goddamn answers." Janson smiles, nodding.

"Why don't you remember for yourself?"
