Thirty Two

My little ladybug, 

How proud I am of you. You bring me so much joy. Getting to see your little smile on a morning. Watching you sing to Elvis whilst we sit and sew in the kitchen brings so much joy to my life. I had no idea that I was missing something until I met you. You fill a hole in my heart that I didn't realised I had. I would love nothing more to be  your mum. I want to watch you grow up to be a beautiful lady, to succeed in your career, to watch you fall in love, to watch you walk down that aisle and watching as you hold your baby for the first time. You are an amazing young girl and I'm so proud of you. 
You will find in this envelope a special present. My little Ladybug, Lottie, Charlotte Clark - Will you let me adopt you?

Love you to the moon and back - Mummy Lily.

Lottie looked in the envelope to see the adoption papers. Lily had been planning to adopt Lottie before she passed away. Lottie wipes the tears from her eyes, reading the letter again. Lily was a special person and she always knew how to cheer someone up, even if she was no longer around. Lottie knew that Lily would always be watching over her.

The next day, Lottie headed up to the main house with a smile on her face and a spring in her step.
"Good Morning" Lottie heads to Tracey and Zac sat at the dining room table, taking them both in to a hug.
"Someone is very happy this morning" Tracey smiles at her.
"It's just a bright day isn't it and it's race weekend"
"Lily has a way with words huh?" Zac smiles at her as she sits down.
"Yes she does. I'm done with moping I have a company to run. Do you mind if I take the McLaren today?"
"Of course. Please don't crash it"
"Well I'm going to head off. See you there"
Lottie heads off out the house, the roar of the McLaren on the sunny morning sounded beautiful. She pulls out the driveway heading to Silverstone.

Lando gets out of his McLaren looking around to see Zac's space was still empty. He wanted nothing more than to see Lottie today. He heads to the paddock entrance, greeting fans. The Silverstone GP was his home GP and he was excited about it and he was going to get the love of his life back. As he interacts with fans he hears the roar of a McLaren, he looks in to the distance and can see Lottie driving in to the drivers car park, he couldn't help but have a little smile on his face. He watches as she climbs out of the car closing the door.
"Your girlfriend is beautiful isn't she?" A fan startles Lando back to reality. 
"She is" He smiles at them whilst handing back the signed hat. 
"Lando, you're going to be late for your meeting?" Colin his new media manager shouts. 
Lando looks back to see Lottie but she had gone, he heads in with Colin hoping to bump in to her. 

Hours had passed and he had still not seen Lottie, he now had to go do a hot lap with a fan. He heads to the starting line, with his helmet in his hand. The social media team are there filming Lando, Zac is stood at the drivers side door of the orange McLaren. Lando goes to head to the drivers side door, someone pulls him back.
"You're not driving on this one. The fan is" Colin says grabbing Lando back.
"Wait what? I don't do well been a passenger" 
"It's Zac's idea" Colin shrugs at him.
"Fine" Lando heads to the passenger side of the car getting in. He turns to the driving seat but it's still empty. He looks down at his phone, scrolling through Instagram to get a glimpse of Lottie on social media, she now had her own fan club that posted every photo that was available of her online. The driver gets in to the drivers seat, Lando instantly smells the familiar scent of the sweet perfume. He turns to the drivers seat, there sat at the side of him with a smile on her face.
"Unfortunately the Mini wasn't available for a hot lap today" She jokes looking at him. 
"Oh is that so? Had to settle for a McLaren then?" He mocks.
"It would seem so. I'm really good friends with the CEO of McLaren, I practically live with him" they both laugh. How Lando had missed that laugh, he couldn't help notice how glowing she was, she really did make his heart skip a beat. 
"Right Lottie and Lando we will be filming this, so I suggest not talking about anything that you want to be public knowledge"
"Got it" Lottie says to Zac. 
"Go get them Ladybug" Zac smiles as he closes the door of the McLaren.
"You ready to see how a real driver drives?" Lottie turns to Lando with a smile on her face. 
Lando laughs but is thrown back in his seat as Lottie steps on the throttle speeding to the first corner. 
"Brake brake" Lando shouts as he grips the door handle of the passenger side door. 
"Now Now Lando I'm driving so you cannot comment" Lottie throws it into the first corner drifting out of the first corner. 
"You are crazy" Lando shouts
Lottie continues to throw the car round the corners, throttling hard and braking fast.
"I think I'm going to be sick" Lando holds on to his stomach."
"One last corner" She laughs.
The car pulls up to starting line and comes to a stop.
"I'm glad I never let you drive my McLaren now" He laughs to her.
"Yeah Zac has never seen me drive his car yet" She laughs back. The atmosphere electric as ever. They both get out to a crowd of people including Daniel, Charles, Carlos and Max she heads over to them. 
"Woah Lottie. I didn't know you could drive like that" Max laughs at her.
"Was Lando sick?" Carlos asks
"He was gripping the door a little" She laughs.
"Oh he's coming over he looks pale"
Lottie feels a rush in her tummy. 
"I've got to go. Bye guys" She rushes off before Lando can get to her. She heads in to the garage to the toilets luckily making it before she's sick. 
Lando gets to the guys. "Where has Lottie gone?" He looks to them.
"Said she had to go mate" Charles taps him on his shoulder. "You'll get her back mate" 

Lando doesn't see Lottie again that day, she had decided to head home she had a bad migraine and the nausea was really testing her at the moment. Perhaps doing a hot lap whilst nauseous was not the best idea. 

Lando later finds Zac in the garage.
"Where is Lottie?" Lando looks to him.
"She's had to head home, something has come up. She won't be back for the rest of the weekend" 
Lando places his head down, disappointed. It was like someone really didn't want him to speak to Lottie.  

The Silverstone GP was thrilling, there was a huge crash on the first corner thankfully no one was hurt. Unfortunately Lando didn't win but the energy of the home GP was something he loved. 
"Hey we are heading out to celebrate Carlos' win, do you want to join us mate?" Charles asks Lando as they walk up the paddock. 
"No I actually have something to do" He heads to the McLaren sitting in the drivers seat, grabbing his phone. He was sick of waiting, he wanted Lottie back now. He had to take matters in his own hands. He begins to type the message.

Lando: Lottie I love you. I always have and I always will. You say we are not meant to be together but I can't do life without you. These last few weeks have been awful without you. I need you back in my life. If we can't have kids, that's fine, I just need to have you in my life. 
I'm heading to London now, If you love me and you want to give me a second chance, meet me where we first kissed. I'll wait until 8 and if you don't show by that point I will leave you alone. I will be waiting. 

He presses send hoping she meets him at the Tower Bridge. 2 hours later he pulls  in to London, parking up and heading down the bridge. It's quiet with very little people around, it was warm in London, the sun had not yet set. He waited and waited, it was now 7:55 and she was nowhere to be seen. He swallowed the lump in his throat, the thought of having to navigate life without Lottie by his side. He wiped a tear away from his eye, checking his phone one last time, no messages. 
He's about to turn to leave when he hears the roar of an engine, the black McLaren pulls at the side of his. He watches as she climbs out of the car, running down to him. Without saying a word she runs right in to his arms, placing a longing and passionate kiss on his lips. He wraps his arms around her waist and she places her hands either side of his face. They could have stayed in that moment forever but the lack of breath forces them to pull apart. They rest their foreheads on each other, looking in to each others eyes. 
"I'm sorry. I would of been here sooner but I got stuck in traffic, it would also seem that I still cannot follow a satnav" Lottie smiles at him.
"I would of waited a lifetime for you" He smiles back at her. " I love you so much Lottie Clark"
"I love you too. I've missed you" She steps back "I actually have something for you" 
He looks at her waiting. She hands him a bundle of fabric, which he opens to reveal a small baby grow with the number 4 and Baby Norris displayed above, he looks up at her. Lottie is stood with tears in her eyes and a big smile on her face.
"Are you....?" He looks at her.
"We are having a baby"
