With the help of Max, Lando gets Lottie back to their hotel. She had not said a word other than his name when she first saw him. The car journey was silent, all Lando could do was watch his girlfriend break down. They get her in to their room, where she heads straight for the bedroom closing the door behind her, leaving Max and Lando in the living area.
"What the fuck?" Max says brushing his curls back.
"I don't even know what to say. I had no idea he was, he was going to do something like this"
"Poor Lottie. I can't imagine what she's going through"
"I don't know what to do. She's going to blame herself, it's another person gone from her life" Lando sits down placing his head in his hands.
More hours had passed, Lando had tried to give Lottie food and a drink but she just laid there blank. Him and Max sat on the sofa in silence, as they could hear the occasional sob coming from the bedroom. It broke them that they couldn't ease her suffering, something they would do in a heartbeat.
There is a light knock at the door, Max jumps up to answer. Standing on the other side of the door is Zac. He enters the room causing Lando to jump up and greet him.
"I got here as fast as I could. Soon as we touch downed in London, I came straight back. Where is she?"
"She's in there" Lando points to the bedroom. "She's not eating or drinking and I'm worried about her and the babies"
"I'll go speak to her" He gently knocks on the bedroom door before entering. Lottie lay in the bed, unaware of his presence.  "Lottie" He gently whispers. She looks to him, pain in her eyes. She sits up as he sits on the bed, a large sob comes from her as she cuddles in to Zac. Lando sits in the living room listening, wiping his tears away, she was heartbroken and he couldn't do anything.
Zac lets Lottie sob in to him, he holds her, stroking her hair.
"It's ok honey. Let it all out. We're here for you"
Lottie stops sobbing however the tears still flow freely down her cheeks.
"I couldn't stop him. I keep going over everything but I had no idea"
"None of us knew. He was so happy. This was nothing you or any of us could of done"
"I know, he said that in his note. I just wish he had spoken to me, maybe I could of changed his mind"
"You know how mental health works. You become well at hiding it and sometimes people can't be saved"
"I could of saved him like Maggie saved me"
"It doesn't always work that way"
"I told his family. They are devastated. I promised I would stay here until they released the body and then I'm flying back to Canada with him"
"Oh honey, you can't do that alone"
"Lando needs to race, he's supposed to be going to Monza. They reckon his body won't be released for a few days. They mentioned they needed to prep it or something. I can do it, I'll be fine it's the least I could do"
"You need to take care of yourself and the babies. Lando has said you haven't eaten or drank anything"
"I'm not hungry, I'm just tired" She pulls away laying back down and facing the other way.
"I'll be right outside honey" He gets up heading back out to the living area. Both Lando and Max look to him as he re-enters.
"How is she?" Lando looks to him.
"I'm not sure. She's obviously upset. She told me she's staying here until they release Tom's body and then she will be flying back to Canada with him"
"I didn't know that" Lando looks down.
"She wants you to keep racing but I don't think she should do it alone"
"I called Hannah and Jess. They're on their way here" Max looks to Zac.
"I don't know what to do. I want to be there for her" Lando looks to him
"She just needs time" Zac sits.
Two more hours passed, Zac, Max and Lando sit in the living room, just waiting.
"I'm going to see if I can get her to eat something" Lando gets up heading in with the soup that was delivered by room service 5 minutes ago. He walks in to the bedroom, Lottie lay in the same position.
"Baby. I need you to eat something" He looks to her. She sits up in the bed, the duvet still covering her.
"I don't have energy Lando" She looks to him.
"Here, Let me feed you" He sits at the side of her as she nods her head. He carefully scoops up the chicken soup and spoon feeds the soup. She looks at him, her eyes are so red and dark. She finishes the soup and he gets up to leave.
"Please don't leave me" She grabs his arm.
"I'm not leaving" He places the tray down on the floor and jumps in to the bed at the side of her "Come here. I've got you" She cuddles in to his chest, little sobs coming out of her.

She finally drops off asleep, Lando carefully slips out of the bed and heads out to the living room where Zac sits and Max had fallen asleep on the sofa.
"I've managed to get her to eat and she's asleep" Lando looks to him.
"Poor girl. I wish we could protect her." Zac rubs his hand across his chin.
"I just hope she can recover from this. I'm going to stay here with her, she needs me. I know Jess and Hannah are here but I need to know she's ok"
"That's fine. I've already arranged to bring in the reserve driver"

It was now Wednesday. Lottie had been up and about making calls to arrange to have Tom's body flown back to Canada. She had sent Hannah to London to run House of Lily whilst she was away, thankful for Hannah's business knowledge. She'd also convinced Lando to go to Monza, Jess would be accompanying her to Canada. She thought she was convincing people that she was ok but they could see she was still pained, she would often sit in silence lost in her thoughts when she wasn't doing anything and she would toss and turn in her sleep, the bags under her eyes evident. The news of Tom's death was now public, Lottie however had remained silent.
"I hope everything goes ok. Call me if you need anything and I will be back home after the race." Lando kisses her as he is about to leave.
"I'll be fine. I have Jess with me. Good luck for the race"
"I love you."
"I love you too" Lottie places a kiss on Lando's lips before sitting back down in her chair.
"I'll walk you out" Jess smiles to him. They close the hotel door slowly walking to the lift.
"Please take care of her Jess. I feel so bad going but she begged me to go"
"I will. She will be fine. She's much stronger than you and I" Jess reassures him.
"I just love her so much and I would do anything to take her pain away"
"She knows it. She's already in touch with Maggie and they're planning to have a chat when they get back"
"Yes she said. I think it will do her good."
"It will. Right you best get going. Good Luck" She hugs him.
"Please call me if she needs anything"
"I will"
