Valentine's Day Special

"NOOOO!!"

I ran away from Makino as she laughs. She found out about my little crush on Luffy. It's been a week since Ace went off to become a pirate, leaving Luffy and I alone.

"You should give him a box of chocolates and some flowers."

I sighed. It's gonna be weird if I give him those things. I mean, when we were younger it was all about the candy; this time it's something different for me.

"Nah, I'll just give him some food. He likes food."

"Just tell him how you feel. Its either now or never."

"Never."

Makino's eyes twitch as I gave her a toothy smile. I can tell that I was getting on her nerves. Makino my be confident and all, but not me. I got zero game, and all the other boys on this island aren't good looking.

"Y/n, you'll be lonely for the rest of your life. Just tell him how you feel."

"BUTWHATIFHEREJECTSME?!?!"

"Dear child, you'll have to speak slower."

I collect myself and took a deep breath. I never wanted to look weak in front of people, so whenever they'd ask if  I liked him, I would just lie.

"W-what if he rejects me?"

"He won't. And if he does, at least you got the feeling off his chest."

She's right. If I tell him now, I wouldn't have to get all jittery when he's around. He's probably so confused. I convinced myself that it's only a crush, it'll go away. After 7 years of feeling this way, I realized that my crush on Luffy won't be going away. I remember when I first met him.

"ACE, SABO!!"

I was on one of my adventures with the boys, they decided that leaving me alone in the woods was funny.

"LET ME GO!!"

"STOP ACTING LIKE A BRAT!!"

I hummed in question as I tried to followed the voices, I already knew Garp's voice, but there was an unrecognizable voice. I guess I was too slow and the voice's disappeared. I shrugged my shoulders and continued to walk the yellow track.

"HEY, ITS NOT NICE TO SPIT ON PEOPLE!!!"

"I DON'T CARE YOU BITCH!!!"

Great. Ace was arguing with some kid. I sped walked, and tired to get to the scene before things got physical.

"STOP FOLLOWING ME PUNK!!"

When I got there, Ace pushed down some blacked haired kid. He wore a white shirt with an anchor on it.

"Leave him alone Ace."

I pulled Ace's collar and slightly dragged him away. The boy had tears in his eyes, and he was clenching his fists.
