Nothing But A Dream
A poem by little_butterfly_14
Who are you?
I can't help but remember that face
But it's so blurry
And too fast to move at pace.
I want to know what happened
You always end up as my saving grace
But as soon as I wake
The events knot up into a lace.
Your dark eyes and dark hair
Where have I seen that trace?
It's all so familiar
How can I not find that base?
You were my hero
Yet I don't remember the case
It was all just a dream
It was a different place.
I need to find you
I wonder what it'll take to retrace
This memory is more than something
I have to figure out before I replace.
Not once, but twice
It's happened on a chase
A turn around and a kiss
And then nothing but an erase.
