hello :) i hope this chapter finds you well! i just wanted to write this note and say that this story is a bit darker than the last one. also, one of the things i want to focus on is celia's struggles as she enters into womanhood. i hope i can write her character well, as one of my goals ever since i started writing is to empower women and help them return to their core. <3

i haven't finished the outline yet, but this story's definitely going to be a rollercoaster ride. some parts may be painful to read. here's to hoping i can give celia's character justice.  🤞

Kabanata 8

Hit

"Fuck," Zadkiel hissed before following me.

He was already beside me, glaring at me with dark eyes. I wasn't looking at him, but I could feel the sharpness of his eyes, still.

"Get lost, Zadkiel," I dismissed.

"The valet's already parked the car. Halika na at mukhang aambon—"

My gaze slid up to him. "I said, get lost!"

His jaw dropped at my reaction.

"I'll book a Grab. Sige na... I can go home by myself."

"I didn't say you couldn't. What would they say if you went home alone? Na pinabayaan kita?"

Bumuntong-hininga ako. "Ano naman kung sabihin nga nila 'yan? Wala ka namang responsibilidad sa akin. Isa pa, tama naman si Jameson. Hindi na ako bata. Kaya ko na ang sarili ko."

"Is that why you checked into a hotel with him?

"So what?"

His eyes were full of disbelief when our eyes met. He looked like he would push me off the road. His emotions were that intense.

"So what?!" he exclaimed. Bigla siyang nagmukhang stressed.

The desire to look away and cower in fear was strong, but I resisted. "What is it to you if I did those things, anyway? Bakit ba nangingialam ka? Tatay ba kita?" I asked calmly.

"I swear to God, Celia," banta niya.

"You can swear to all the gods, Zadkiel, but I'm not going home with you."
