Georges pov:
Me and Dream are walking around the green and beautiful backyard
"Yeah so i think we should rescue one" he says
We are talking about a cat that we want to get
"Lets get a kitten though" i say
"Let's adopt one!"
"Okay, what breed do you want?" I ask looking at him
"There are breeds of cats?"
"Duh" I chuckle
"Lets see what they have" he says and picks me up and runs into the house
"Now?" I whine while rolling my eyes
"Yea!"
He sounds so energized and happy, while i just wanna go back to bed
"Finnneee" i say as we're already going up the stairs
I change and we go out
Dream decided to drive today
Im looking at photos of cats on the website of the shelter
"Look at this one!" I say and show a picture of a cute little kitten with brown spots, stripes and patches
"Yeah he's cute"
"Its she"
"You guys have the same eye color" i say looking at the picture
We finally arrive, we get in and i already hear meowing and barking
Its so loud and it kinda has a smell
"Hi guys! Did you come here to adopt?" A lady asks
"Yeah uhm can we see this cat?" Dreams says and i show the picture
"Oh sure! Come this way!" She says and leads us
I see a lot of other cats, they all look so sad and depressed
I want to adopt all of them, they deserve a good home
Some of them look old, some are kitten, some are missing body part, some look angry, some are sleeping
"Here she is! She was born a week ago so we still didn't come up with a name" the lady laughs as we're standing in front of a silver cage with a little kitten inside
"Aww she's adorable" Dream says
I look into her eyes and know she's the one
"Let's get it!" I say
"Uh okay" Dream says
We fill out some forms and get the cage with the kitten inside
Dream also bought stuff for the kitten like toys, litter box, cat bed, etc.
"I love her" i say as we're driving back home
"How easily you said that to her and how hard it was to me huh" he chuckles
"How should we name her?" I ask
The cage is on my lap and i can feel her moving in there
"You should name her"
"Why me?" I ask
"I think I'll love anything you'll come up with"
"Even if i come up with a name like poo?"
"Ew no, think of a good one"
I turn the cage to look at the kitten
"Can i hold her?" I ask Dream
"Yeah why not she's ours now"
I open the cage door and gently pick her up
She's so fluffy and soft
"She's so light, i can hold her with my pink" i laugh
I hold her and gently rub her
Her belly is white and her paws too, she has these brown patches...
"Patches" i yell
"What?"
"Her name is Patches!" I excitedly yell
"Eh..i mean it's alright but not the best-"
"NO, it fits her perfectly"
"Fine fine" he laughs
The whole drive back i was holding her and talking to her
"Ok put her back, I'll help you get out" he says as we arrived back
He opens the car door for me and helps me up
He wants to pick me up but i stop him
"I think I'll try walking"
"All right" he shrugs and picks up the cage with Patches inside
I slowly walk and almost trip
I hear his gasp
"George! Please careful" he says almost holding me
I like that he cares about me and does stuff for me but i think over time he'll get tired and start thinking of me as a helpless baby that always needs to be carried
"Do you not like it when i carry you?" He asks
We enter out house and go into the living room
"No i like it..its just i don't want you to get tired and stuff"
"Nah I won't get tired"
He puts down the cage and opens the door
Patches slowly crawls out
She looks around and meows
"She is so cute" i say
"Yeah but not as cute as you" he jokes
"Sure whatever" i laugh
Me and Dream play with Patches the whole say
"Oh shit" Dream says and quickly gets up
"What is it?" I ask
"Nick is arriving in 20 minutes, ugh I'm gonna be late"
"Wait what?"
Nick? Who's nick? Is it that best friend he told me about?
"Did i not tell you?"
"Not tell me what?"
"Remember Nick? So he's arriving to London today"
"Oh"
"I'm sorry i didn't tell you okay I got to go" he says and leaves in a rush
Wow he didn't even ask if I wanted to go too
Whatever i guess it'll be better to meet him here
