Addy and I reach the room where the littles are playing and go inside
“Maze, can we talk to you outside for a minute?” I spoke, motioning her to come with us. Once out in the hallway, we told her what we heard.
“ So, let me get this straight, there is some war going on, our mothers make some oath to protect somethings, that said war is coming straight for us, and they're going to send us away on our own with the littles to go to a camp, that is god, knows how far? ” Masie said with a tone of both disbelief and confusion
“That pretty much sums it up,” I said straightly. She was about to say something when we heard one of the kids crying. I guess it’s time for bed.
~Time Skip~
I hear loud explosions outside, I look outside and see people approaching the house with guns and other such weapons, I run to my Cousins and friends, and we all run to our parents and I walk straight into my mother
“Mama, what's going on, why are there…” I was cut off by mama
“We don’t have much time, I need to give you this.” she pushed into my hand
“Don’t lose it, follow it until you reach here,” she pointed to a place on the map. “Once they look for someone named Ghost, she will know what else to do and will give you the story. Please protect your cousins and your friends. It is your responsibility.” Mama turns to the whole room “Get them downstairs now!”
My aunt told us to follow her, holding the two babies, and hiding all of us under an old table. The little ones were crying and my aunt was trying to comfort them, we were all scared
We hide under that table for at least 30 minutes it would have been longer if it hadn’t been interrupted we heard voices trying to break down the door, my aunt looked at us and then looked at the window. She turned around, gave the kids to me, Masie, and Addy, and put a piece of paper in my hand then before I knew what was happening she had pushed all of us outside and closed the window
All I could hear was explosions, we made a run for the woods behind the house and there we hid, lives changed.
