Revenge.
It's a nasty thing. It's hatred, anger and sometimes even envy. When someone is so set on making someone else's life miserable or even end it. Revenge is a feeling just as anger, sadness and joy is. Revenge is something you want so badly that you'd do anything and everything to get it.
Usually the person that wants revenge would go through the worst possible things to get it. They'd kill or even destroy innocent people's lives. But in the end all that person wanted was to see their enemy fall, give up and beg.
BEG.
Beg doesn't always come with their fall but when it does it's a bonus, a jackpot if you may. Seeing the person you just hurt beg for forgiveness or freedom makes you happy and it gives you relief.
And everyone loves relief.
As everyone sits around the restaurant table in silence I can't help but think about revenge.
Dylan Jacksons deserves our revenge.
"How's your Dodge Nick?" I ask breaking the silence.
He looks up with a frown. "They towed her back yesterday... Jessy from the auto repairs said it'll take quite a few months and a lot of money. But she'll run before January if we're lucky."
I nod my head and the next sentence left my lips before I could stop it. "What about Dylan?"
Everyone's heads snap up and Zack frowns. "Well... Since it's illegal racing. He's free to go."
I frown and glare at my hands.
It's bad when you think about it. They are in illegal racing. If they go to the police they'd most likely get arrested too. Dylan is free to walk just as he was when he did those terrible things to me.
Then Jenny speaks up grabbing my attention. "Um... Lily have you ever thought of going to ths police with what he had done to you?"
I chew my bottom lip and nod. "Y-Yes. I had evidence and everything... But not the money. I needed a lawyer and I knew he would have a much better and more expensive one than mine... I had no chance."
Suddenly everyone looks at Ash.
"Do you still have that evidence, principessa?" He asks taking my hand.
I sigh and nod.
"Yes. I have pictures of my bruises and a video I caught from a security camera in his house when he beat me. I also have notes where he threatened me."
Everyone's faces morphs into something else. Sadness, anger, hope and pure rage.
"Lily, I have the best lawyer in New York working for me... Do you want to take him to court?" Ash's voice is soft and gentle.
