Y/N awoke to a fairly dark room. It was clear upon first glance that he was in a hospital bed, but no one was around. It was nighttime, and the only light he could see was coming from the hallway through his open door. There was a blue button to his left that lit up. The tag under it read "Press for Assistance".
A few minutes passed, and with no one in sight, Y/N decided to press the button. At first nothing happened, but after another few minutes passed, he heard footsteps from the hallway. A nurse dressed in all white entered his room carrying a clipboard. Y/N tried to move to get a better view, but then he realized his right arm was completely wrapped up and suspended. He couldn't turn either direction, but it didn't matter, since the nurse walked to the front of his bed anyway.
"How do you feel?" She asked him, pulling out her pencil to mark down his response. He sighed, considering it himself for the first time before he spoke.
"Terrible. I can't even feel my arm, and it feels like I've been sweating for hours." Y/N admitted. Without sympathy, the nurse scribbled down notes onto her clipboard, nose wrinkling from concentration. Once finished, she turned to leave.
"I will notify your parents of your awakening, and they will be here shortly." She noted before exiting, closing his door on the way out. Y/N laid his head back down, tired from craning his neck to look at her. Soon enough, he heard his parents' chatter from outside as they made their way to his room.
"You're awake!" His mother shouted as she opened the door. Y/N rubbed his temple at the loud noise.
"What happened?" His father asked sternly. He had known the question was coming, but he still didn't have a good answer. If no one knew he had driven to Freddy's at night, he could make up a story to avoid being prosecuted for trespassing. Luckily, he knew just the thing. There was a park near the pizzeria, and he figured he could pretend he went there instead.
"Well, I couldn't sleep. I drove to the park to take a walk while no one was out, but while I was there I was attacked by a dog or a coyote or something. I couldn't tell." Y/N paused for a moment to gauge his father's facial expression in response. He didn't seem unbelieving, which was good. "I started bleeding, so I just went to the nearest building I could find, which was the pizzeria. After that, I blacked out and I don't know what happened since." That last part was true. Mentally bracing himself, he waited for his father to call out his lie.
"Well, I'm just glad you're alive." The older man spoke after a while. He had believed the story. Y/N let out a silent sigh of relief. He may have been trespassing in Freddy's, but what was more illegal was what he saw while he was in there. He still hadn't had time to contemplate all of it, or even understand how he wasn't dead.
"You and me both, dad."

Later that night, after being discharged from the hospital, Y/N got the worst news of his life.
"To celebrate Laine's birthday, we're going to get pizza tomorrow." His father announced to the whole family. "It's what she asked for, and I know you just took her there yesterday, but please go with it." Y/N's jaw dropped. So soon after almost being killed at Freddy's by some rogue animatronics, he was going to have to go right back there? In all honesty, he was worried they would recognize him and kill him on the spot. Even though he had never seen the animatronics act vicious during the daytime before, he couldn't be sure it was impossible.
"Are you- are you sure about that?" Y/N weakly protested. "I'm sure there's a better place to spend her special day." He argued with his father. The old man shook his head.
