AN: I'm working on a 3D model of Mangle so I can put art in every chapter. I have some in this chapter, but the model is still in development, so bear with any issues in quality. Enjoy!

Scott yawned as he stepped out of his car. He was a little early for his shift as the daytime security guard at Freddy Fazbear's Pizza, but he figured he could use the extra time to get caught up on his favorite show. He had expected traffic to be worse than it ended up being, so he unlocked the front door thirty minutes earlier than usual.

Walking down the hall, he noticed a lot of the doors were open. In particular, none of the doors to the party rooms at the end of the hall were closed. The man found it odd, but didn't think too much of it. Shaking his head to reset himself, he focused on the office door ahead of him. He knew Y/N would still be inside, as his shift had only recently ended.

Just as he got to the door, he noticed something extremely unusual. One of the animatronics was inside the office. It was Mangle, Scott's worst nightmare, and she was talking to the night guard. The man felt his breath hitch in his throat, a bit uncomfortable and uncertain about what was happening. He decided that if Y/N was safe in there with that thing, he would be too, so after a moment he entered.

The younger man's head turned quickly to look at Scott as he walked into the office, panic seeping into his expression. Mangle stopped talking and repeated the gesture, staring at him as well.

"Uhh-" Y/N began to speak, but before he could say anything, Mangle made rapid movements across the ceiling, stopping right in front of Scott. The man was absolutely terrified, but he was rooted to the spot somehow. She stared him down with her midnight black eye, and then she spoke.

"If you tell a soul what you just saw, I will make sure you look just like me

"If you tell a soul what you just saw, I will make sure you look just like me." She threatened him, her voice echoing throughout the hall. All the man could do was nod, as he was far too scared to say anything in response.

"Mangs, what is wrong with you?" Scott heard Y/N speak from behind the abomination, an edge in his voice. He heard footsteps, and the night guard stepped in between him and Mangle, putting his hand over her snout. "There is no need to be like that." He smiled at the animatronic mess as he spoke, and her one good eye turned back on as she crawled off of the ceiling.

"I apologize," she seemed to speak to both of them, "I just panicked since I didn't realize you'd arrived, and I lost myself. I usually hide myself from people." Her head drooped apologetically, and the ever-bold Y/N patted her head, grinning.

"Sorry, Scott, neither of us were expecting you to be here for a while." The night guard explained. Scott was still so on edge he didn't even know what to say.

"W-w-w-what-" he stuttered, unable to form words. His eyes flicked between the man and machine, the pieces starting to fit themselves together in his mind. Y/N must've already known about Mangle before, which was why he was chilling out in Kid's Cove after his last shift. Other than that, Scott didn't really know enough to make any more conclusions.

"Mangs, do you mind if I tell Scott what happened?" Y/N was asking permission from a literal robot. It blew his mind.

"On one condition." She argued. The night guard motioned for her to continue. "You can tell him whatever you want, as long as you replace my broken eye first." She huffed, expecting it to be a hard decision. Instead, Y/N smiled.

"I wasn't going to tell you, but I already planned on it. I was actually going to spend some time today with the parts and service guys to learn about endoskeleton wiring." The man admitted. Scott and Mangle both looked at him in shock. "I've been wanting to help you, but I don't know the first thing about robotics." The deformed animatronic rubbed her head up against the man, causing him to chuckle.

"Do I-" Scott began, hesitant, "I'm not sure I even want to know what's going on

"Do I-" Scott began, hesitant, "I'm not sure I even want to know what's going on. As long as it doesn't affect me or my job, I'll pass on having any knowledge that will probably keep me up at night." He admitted. He really didn't want anything to do with Mangle. Even though she seemed to be okay with Y/N's presence, she still seemed to be dangerous.

"Fair enough." Y/N agreed. "As long as you keep working the day shift while people are here, you'll never need to know." The man said mysteriously. He had clearly seen something during his time as the night guard, but Scott wasn't interested in finding out what it was. Instead, he carefully walked around Mangle and sat down at the security desk.

"Could you, um-," Scott spoke nervously as he tried to request the pair leave him alone, "-please take Mangle back to Kid's Cove? The other employees will be here soon." Y/N nodded and Scott let out a deep sigh. He had been holding in a breath since Mangle approached him. He could already tell it was going to be a long day.
