What happened to us?

CHAPTER 8

Teju was having her time figuring out things staying away from him. She tried to keep distance given the excuse that she is very busy in her shoot. She needed some time for herself , to introspect

Anusha found it an opportunity to get closer to karan. She was trying really hard to break the barrier but in vain. Karan was not giving her one ounce of attention

He was waiting for teju to be back so that they could talk

It was the day of teju coming home and Karan thought he would pick her up from the airport but anusha again made up an excuse saying gangster was sick and need to visit the vet. She was busy and will not be able to attend. Karan who was already guilty due to monsty's loss now couldn't take any risk with his beloved pet so he agreed. He told parvez to get teju from airport
Teju landed and though she doesn't have any expectation deep down she thought sunny might have come to pick her up but on seeing parvez there she again sign in defeat. Teju ask parvez about sunny and in return learnt about gangster

Karan after finishing his business directly came to teju's house and went to her room

Karan: oh ladooo... I missed you so much baby and hugs her

Teju: smiles

Karan: acha tera shoot kaisa tha

Teju: it was nice sunny

Karan could clearly see the difference in her behaviour but brushed it off thinking she might be tired

Karan: acha ladoo you look tired. Tu rest kar abhi. Kal baat karenge and dont forget tomorrow we have to attend the birthday bash of rajiv. We are both invited, I hope you are aware..

Teju: sunny tu ja. I wanna take a day off tomorrow and be home. It's been so many days I haven't taken a proper break. Also, jet lag you know

Karan: I don't wanna hear anything ladoo. You have to come with me. Me kya karunga tera bina. Take rest in the afternoon na baba. We will leave around 10. Please.......

Teju couldn't refuse further and succumbed to his wish

Next day in the evening...

Karan at teju's place

Karan: ladoo ready huyi ki nahi?

Teju: ha aayi

Teju was just wearing a simple top and jeans

Karan: tu aise jayegi?

Teju: I don't have energy sunny. Hum jyada der rukenge bhi nahi. Let's go now

Karan: thik he phir

They left for the party. Since it was rajiv adatia's  birthday so many celebrities were there including the btown celebs

Karan was lookin glam and teju don't give a damn

At the party, obviously anusha was also there with her friends and cousins. She was wearing a red slit body con dress and looking sexy. She came towards Karan and hugged him and greets me. There is always these awkward tension between us and we never had one proper conversation till date even after meeting for so many times

Karan soon got engaged with his friends. He was always social and I on the other hand was just the opposite. There was nothing in that party I found interesting. I excused myself and went towards the bar to get myself a lime soda. Two women near me were talking, if I m not mistaken it's anusha's sister and the other one I don't know. My back was facing them

Isn't she the new girl friend of Karan the girl asked?
Yeah, I think so shibani replied
Oh my god! look at are fashion sense, such a disaster. Koyi jeans aur t phen k party me aata hai kya. Such low class. Also what's wrong with karan's choice, woh jaise bhi ho but till now I have never seen anybody this average  looking  being his girlfriend. Pata nahi kya dekha es mey. Look how amazing nushi and karan looks together showing at their direction. They were giggling and laughing to god knows something. They were so perfect na, two beautiful looking people. I wish ye log phir se saath ho jaye, the girl said

That was it for tejasswi, she turned and directly went towards them and said
Hello ma'am whatsoever is your name, for a matter of fact I m his girlfriend and she is not. Keep your disgusting thought process to yourself. It's not just good clothes and beautiful face that defines you as a person. There is so much to become a human. Such a sick thought process you have. You were commenting on my clothes, my face but look at you. You don't even have a personality, even if you have one  it stinks to the core
The women couldn't take the insult and she just threw the vine she was holding on teju's clothes. In reflex, teju too picked a glass of wine from the bar and threw it on her face

She yelled. The whole crowds attention was on them. Karan was looking at teju with blood shot eyes. He walked towards teju , held her hand and stomped outside the hall

Teju: karannnn...

Karan: not just a word.....
