It is the next day now and we're leaving later in the evening.

I rush down the stairs excited to have some breakfast which I am really hoping will help in the execution of this hangover. Note to self, it's a bad idea to drink a whole bottle of champagne alone, and never trust a British boy. I run into Astrin in the hallway and he smiles opening his arms for a hug and I get in, breathing him in. "Morning sleepyhead " he ruffles my hair "morning.. did you bath already?" I pull out of his embrace to properly check him this time and I find him wearing a pair of black shorts and a nude coloured hoodie.

"No?" he responds "really ? But you smell like.. like heaven" I say in confusion walking down the stairs as he trails behind. "You know you could wake up to this heaven everyday if you wanted" he says seductively "you bathed" I say and he confesses "yes I did"

We walk into the dining room and find a feast set on the table but there's no one in the room except for Kace who's stuffing waffles in his mouth whilst scrolling on his phone and he looks my way as I grab a plate to dish myself and he looks back down. Rude.

"What up mate?" Astrin greets and Kace responds "sup " Astrin almost looks as if he's having a heart attack staring at Kace "what are you doing at the breakfast table alone? People know not to leave you at a breakfast table alone" Astrin turns to face me "he always eats all the waffles " Astrin complains with eyebrows furrowed "I bet he's scoffed all of them"

Kace picks up a bottle of syrup after dishing himself more waffles "sorry mate" Kace says staring at Astrin and Astrin's hand gestures towards Kace like a magnet then the syrup is left frozen in air pouring into the pancakes but nothing was flowing out, it was frozen and my jaw drops as I twist my head like a lost puppy "Astrin!" Kace's voice roars across the room angrily and he speeds up to Astrin to place his hand on Astrin's throat then icicles slowly start forming on Kace's face and I open my mouth wider in shock

And that's when I realized, oh they have powers, just like me except that they're offspring of the great seven. I jillie jollied and grabbed some crispy bacon stuffing it in my mouth with a smile avoiding the fight right beside me "truce?" I heard Astrin's voice say and Kace repeated the same word and their hands clasped. I looked back at them to find Kace's hair drenched and his brown curls dripping and some stuck to his face, Astrin had a huge purple bruise covering his throat like a scarf but it was slowly fading and his tanned skin was reappearing.

"What the hell just happened?" I asked devouring a croissant. "We were fighting over waffles " Astrin says and Kace walks out "I'm going to find a towel" he said and Astrin sat down where Kace was eating, taking the last waffles in his plate and I joined taking three from the pile "was he really gonna eat all these waffles?" I say licking the maple syrup on my finger and sitting down next to him.

"Yep he's a monster when it comes to waffles"

"He's a monster in general" I mumble and Astrin chuckles "so you have Ice powers?" I question "yeah, more like water" he corrected "healing too? " I asked pointing at the situation going on, on his neck "Nah not really, there is basically ice-cold liquid flowing throughout my body so when I get hurt, the bruise is automatically put on ice and starts healing real fast" he explains "so the others, what are their special abilities? " I ask eagerly

"Kace has super fast reflexes and super strength, I control water and can change its forms, Cali's has to do with time, he can rewind it to the past, he can pause the present and can only see the next eight seconds, Hade has manipulation powers, like a spell and lastly Ben's a smarty pants just like Elvi he's the inside man and has to do with technology but he has no powers unlike Elvi, you?"
