Anala & I entered the party arm in arm. I hadn't met any Hufflepuffs yet, and I was a little nervous because of that stupid article that RiTa SkEeTeR wrote about me.

I noticed quite some eyes on me every now and then along with a couple whispers.

Is that Vampire Potter?!

What's she doing here?! She's in Slytherin!

Anala went ahead to use the restroom, so I stood in the corner of the yellow common room and drank my butter beer. I watched everyone dancing and having fun.

"Potter, right?" A very handsome boy approached me. He had medium brown hair. And pale skin, just like I did. He was very attractive. I wondered why a boy like him was talking to me. 'Vampire Potter'.

"Yeah." I replied with a little blush arising at my cheeks, "That's me."

"Aren't you in Slytherin?" He smirked.

"Yeah, my friend knew the Hufflepuff password, so we thought we might just hang out."

He looked me up and down with clear interest on his face, "I'm Cedric, Cedric Diggory."

"Evange-"

"I know." He cut me off with a chuckle.

I blushed and slightly bit the tip of my butter beer then took a sip.

He took a quick look at the dance floor before looking back at me, "You doing anything this Saturday?"

I shook my head.

"Would you want to go to Hogsmeade with me? As a date."

"Yeah." I put my arms down and fiddled with the bottle, "I'd love to."

"Alright, I'll meet you in the great hall then."

Anala came back from the bathroom with two new bottles of butter beer. She handed one to me. "Diggory, right?" She asked the boy next to me.

"Yeah." Cedric turned his head to me, "See you later, Evangeline."

Anala smirked at me, "So, what was that about?"

"I have a date with Diggory." I blushed.

Her jaw dropped slightly, "Girl if you knew-"

"Knew what?"

"Girls cry over that man. Girls that have never spoken to him. He's the hottest boy in school. That's a total upgrade from Malfoy." She lifted her butter beer up slightly and took a swig from it.

Saturday came. I was ready for my date with Diggory—according to Anala—the hottest boy in school.

It was a bit chilly out, so I wore black nylons under my grey plaid pencil skirt. I walked down the staircase from the girl's dormitories. "Where are you going?" Said Draco who was sitting on a high-table by the staircase.

I rolled my eyes, "God, you are everywhere I go."

"Going on a date with Diggory?" He smirked, looking me up and down, seeing my unusually nice outfit.

"How do you know about that?"

"Goyle was at the Hufflepuff party."

"You sent Goyle to watch me?"

He scoffed, "I never said that. I said he was there and saw you two talking. I'm surprised you didn't see him, considering how tall he is. Or maybe you're just blind, like your idiot brother."

I clenched my jaw, Draco was really pissing me off. "Don't compare me to my brother." I fumed.

He rested his head on his hand, "Have fun with pretty boy."

I couldn't figure out why he's been acting like such an arse lately. Maybe he's just moody. "I will." I spat and stormed off.

I met Diggory inside of the great hall, and we walked to Hogsmeade together in the cloudy mid-September weather.

"I was thinking we could go to Madam Puddifoot's Tea Shop. It's really good, and I think you'll like it." Said Diggory.

"Yeah, sounds good. It's my first time going to Hogsmeade, so you'll have to show me around."

"Right." He smiled, "This is your first year."

Cedric was right. Madam Puddifoot's was pretty good. The date with him was going really well too; he's so effortlessly charming.

It was time for all the students visiting Hogsmeade to head back towards the castle. "I had a lot fun with you." He stated out of the blue as we were reaching the great hall.

"I did too." I replied with a smile I couldn't control.

"I'd love to go on another date with you." He stopped on the entry way. He picked up my hand gently and left a soft kiss on it, "Until then, Evangeline."

And with that, he was off toward the Hufflepuff table. I saw different angry girls glaring at me; I didn't know if it was because of the article, or because of Cedric.

I was walking over towards Draco, to shove it in his face that I did—in fact—have fun with 'pretty boy,' but I came closer to the table only to see him with his finger's interlocked with Pansy on the table.

I thought he hated her...but I guess I was wrong. My heart dropped and I felt a wave of anger wash over me. I made eye contact with him, but I turned around and left.
