Draco Malfoy saying sorry was unexpected. He was being a total jerk and then he apologized. What the hell?
He ended up letting me copy him though. We didn't say anything else to one another.
Class was finally dismissed. But Snape just had to make me more miserable.
"Miss Potter and Mister Malfoy! I want you two to stay after class."
I clenched my jaw out of irritation. Everyone else who was in class left. Leaving just Malfoy & I with Snape. "Miss Potter, I know that you were copying Malfoy. Those kinds of things do not slide in my classroom." He sneered, "So, you have a detention. But I'll also be pairing you with another student to tutor you."
"Who?"
"I'm not sure yet." Professor Snape turned to Malfoy, "And you. I expect a lot more from you. You really let her copy you? She'll just bring you down Draco, which she's doing right now. You have a detention as well."
"But professor-" He tried to come to his defense.
"I don't want to hear it. Don't make me write your father."
Draco put his head down in defeat, "Yes sir."
* * * *
"Maybe you should just pay attention more." Cedric suggested.
"Believe me, I try. I don't know why it's so difficult for me." I complained as him & I walked through the corridor, heading to the great hall for dinner.
He sighed, "What if I tutor you then?"
"You'd probably have to talk to Snape. He's the one pairing me up with someone."
"Will do."
We reached the great hall and Cedric gave me a hug before heading off to his table. I blushed and walked towards Slytherin. I sat down next to Mattheo who was next to Draco, but I ignored him.
"Eva." The blonde said my name.
It caught me off guard, but I looked at him anyway. "Professor Snape wanted me to let you know that we have detention on Saturday at ten in the morning."
"What a waste of a Saturday." I rolled my eyes.
"If you'd pay attention and not copy me. Neither of us would be in this mess." He bitched.
"Oh shut up."
"But he also told me who your tutor is."
"Who?"
"Hermione."
I sighed. Part of me was hoping it was Malfoy.
