Angela and Quinn found a guy in a tree getting barked at by a small dog Angela seemed amused but felt pity for the guy as well while Quinn just deadpanned
Angela's pov
"Oh you two young ladies please could you help me" the guy said "go on go home now you" I said shooing the dog away the dog ran off
The guy came down "thank you very much for the help" he said "we should probably start looking for a house tomorrow mom" Quinn said
"I suppose you're right Quinn" I said "Excuse me your looking for someplace to stay" the man said "yes what of it?" I asked
"Well if you need a place to stay I have one you can have it...it will probably be of more use to you than me anyway" he said kissing my forehead
Then he walked away I deadpanned "you ok mom?" Quinn asked "what an odd man he's certainly not normal" I said
"Hm I think I see something up the mountain mom" Quinn said "hm" I hummed and looked up at the mountain 'looks like a shrine' I thought to myself
"Shall we go and check it out then" I said "mom what are you planning" Quinn said I smirked "I don't like that smirk it looks mischievous" Quinn said
"Don't worry about it we're only going to check it out" I said and walked up the stairs "woah" Quinn said amazed with the view
I chuckled "first time walking up shrine stairs huh" I said "oh yeah" she said as she followed behind me I heard some eerie sounds this made Quinn cling to me
"What was that" Quinn said "you scared" I said teasingly "no" she squeaked 'she's totally scared right now' I thought to myself
"Don't worry it's just owls hooting" I said then we arrived at the shrine "lord mikage your back" we heard a girl and boy voice say
"Mikage your back after 20 years and now..." a fox demon started to attack me and quinn but I grabbed his wrist before he could
His eyes widened in surprise when he saw me "you!" He said "hm? What cat got your tongue" I said letting him go he looked at me as if he was seeing a ghost
Tomoe's pov
I stared at her in surprise 'this woman' I thought to myself as I remembered her 'it couldn't be her' I thought to myself as I then remembered what I was doing
Quinn's pov
The fox demon was staring at my mother in shock "who are you your not mikage" he said completely ignoring me in the process 'rude' I thought to myself
"Your right I'm not but I'm sure you're smart enough to know that" mom said "master Tomoe is...huh your not lord mikage" a some shrine spirits said
3rd person pov
Angela was about to retort but then she looked at tomoe closely literally getting in his face "what" he said "you...you look somewhat familiar to me" she said
"Have we met before" Angela said "..." tomoe didn't say anything "master tomoe where are you going" one of the shrine spirit's said
"I am leaving I'm not going to stay here and become that woman's familiar" tomoe said feeling a bit hurt that she didn't recognize him
"What's your problem" Angela said with a raised eyebrow tomoe disappeared in his fox fire and Quinn looked very confused about his behavior
"Well if your the new land goddess we should introduce ourselves I'm kotetsu and this is onigiri" the boy shrine spirit said
"Angela nura this is my daughter Quinn" she said "daughter" they both said in unison "if you're going to say "how you're so young" I'm actually older than I look" Angela said "Mom" Quinn said sweatdropping at her bluntness

"Your so blunt mom" Quinn said causing Angela to sweatdrop as well "exactly that's what I wanted" Angela said in a monotone voice
"Well since your the new land goddess we should tell you about how to..." Angela cut them off "care for the shrine no problem" she said
"Not the first time I've had to cook and clean for myself" Angela said "mom please don't overdo it" Quinn said "Don't worry about me Quinn I'm invincible" Angela said
"Yup mom is very confident her eyes are burning with such intensity" Quinn said "are there any other surprises we should be aware of" onigiri said
"I have 2 older brothers who will probably visit us often" Quinn said "good to know" kotetsu said they turned their attention back to Angela only to go wide eyed with shock
"Well enough of that time for bed" Angela said as kotetsu and onigiri looked in shock that she cleaned it so fast
"Yup I figured as much" Quinn said "time for bed hun your going to school the day after tomorrow" Angela said "ok" Quinn said
The next day...
Angela's pov
'Quinn went to go shopping for some food for us...it's too quiet here' I thought to myself "I'm surprised you're still here" I heard
I glanced at the fox demon looking at me "Why are you surprised surely you expected more out of me didn't you since you seem to know me from somewhere" I said
"I will not answer that" he said "hey tomoe you look familiar I just can't remember where I've seen you" I said as a retort
"How is it your unable to age" I heard tomoe mumble I smirked "who knows" I said "you heard that!" Tomoe said "I have very exceptional hearing tomoe" I said
"Despite what you may think I'm pretty capable of handling things even without your help" I said sticking my tongue out at him playfully he glared at me
"You certainly are confident" tomoe said "not really" I said this caused tomoe to falter from his spot and he looked at me with a strange look in his eyes then disappeared
