29. His peace

Imlie couldn't sleep with aryan's words revolving in her head

On top of that his birthday was coming and kaki maa and di wants him to get married and she'll be hosting his birthday with all bachelor girls so that he can choose a bride 

Imlie was irked at this idea. Even if she didn't like him then also this was wrong. Why did he had the liberty to choose like this? Whereas most of the girls after knowing preeta and malini didi, imlie knew were forced to get married for business 

Thankfully aryan had straight up denied it...but imlie doubted they'll listen to him. She wasn't blaming them because they just want the best for aryan...but the uneasiness had increased in her

She notices a shadow figure passing her door twice or thrice 

She gets up shaking at the fear of what awaits her this time opening the door with someone items from her dressing table in her hand 

As the shadow approaches again in the dark hallway imlie takes sita maiyya's name and aim at the figure throwing things with full force 

"Dekho pass..pass mat aana...abhi hum chilla di h aur..aur akadbagga aa gaya na to...to tum bachoge naahi.." 

The figure grabs her turning her around holding her tightly keeping his hands locked on her stomach 

Imlie breathes and closes her eyes at that touch.  She knows it too well now

"ABP..." imlie wispers lightly 

"Hmm...tum abhi bhi apne akadbagge ko chilla ke bulane wali ho kya?" Aryan asks teasing her. He was happy that imlie had that trust that he'll protect her

Imlie smiles and nods in no as aryan turns her around keeping his hands on her shoulder 

"Lagi to naahi kahi? Jor se mara tha humne.." 

"Nahi lagi...and you need better self defense imlie. Classes chalu karna padegi" 

As aryan speaks smell of alcohol reaches her nose due to their closeness 

"Tumne sharab pii h?!" Imlie says bending down getting out of aryan's grip

"Tch...a bit.  I'm not drunk imlie..." he had a lot going on in his life. The revenge with dev, imlie's accident and his unresolved feelings which he didn't understand himself.  On that his mother and sister put another burden of all that girls. He just wanted a simple birthday with his family..imlie and some close friends.  And now it'll be a big event where people will hold him away from his family .He needed some liquid to digest all that . But after a glass he realized that imlie was just in the room next to his. And if he lost control he'll end up doing and revealing a lot more than he intended so he stopped 

Aryan was a lightweight who never drank before his jiju passed away.  There were days he drowned himself locked in his room but he saw how his mother would get everytime seeing him. So he tried to stop it..for his family

And now imlie's reaction.  The way she moved away from him...

"Tum..par kyu..?" Imlie asks wanting an answer 

"Sad Because i can legally drink and you can't?"aryan teases her 

(are you seriously not drunk aruuuu?!!🥴😂) 

Imlie pouts keeping hands on her waist showing her anger 

"Aacha sorry.  I had a lot in my head" he says sincerely apologizing 

"Aur bhi tareeke h Akadbagge....par chodo...2 baj gaya h hum sone jawat h..tum bhi jao" imlie says walking to the door as aryan holds her hand

"Ruko. Thodi der baat kar sakte h?  Please ?" aryan asks
