The soft morning light seeped through the curtains of the room, casting a gentle glow within. (Y/N) stirred beneath the blankets, their eyes peeking out to find Ace still sleeping soundly, his arms wrapped around their waist. Not wanting to disturb him, (Y/N) decided to simply savour the warmth of the moment and continued hugging him in return.

However, Ace's groggy voice soon broke the peaceful silence. "(Y/N), you awake?" he mumbled from beneath the thick blanket.

(Y/N) responded with a contented hum, acknowledging that they were indeed awake.

Ace, with a tired yawn, began to untangle his arms from around (Y/N) and sat up, rubbing his eyes to clear away the remnants of sleep. (Y/N) followed suit, sitting up beside him and letting out a sigh.

"Come on let's get get some food"

With a gentle smile on (Y/N)'s face, they allowed Ace to take their hand and lead them out of the room, following him to the ship's deck and ultimately to the dining hall

"I heard that thatch made something special for breakfast his food reminds me a lot of Makino's cooking especially his olio e peperoncino -"

As Ace continued his rambling and (Y/N) smiled at his words, the two of them were blissfully unaware of the curious eyes that trailed their every move as they walked through the ship. The crewmembers of the Whitebeard Pirates had taken an interest in the dynamic between Ace and (Y/N), and they watched the pair with varying degrees of curiosity and amusement.

The crewmembers on the deck couldn't help but exchange puzzled glances and hushed whispers as they observed the close relationship between Ace and (Y/N). To them, it was a rather unexpected sight, given Ace's well-known disdain for the Marines.(wait till you hear about Vice-Admiral Garp)

Ace and (Y/N) entered the bustling dining hall, where the crewmembers were enjoying their breakfast. The room was filled with the cheerful chatter and laughter of the Whitebeard Pirates, creating a lively atmosphere.

Ace found a nearby empty seat for both of them, and (Y/N) joined him, sitting close, shoulder to shoulder. They began chatting casually, just like old friends catching up after a long time apart. The crewmembers in the dining hall couldn't help but eavesdrop, their curiosity piqued by the interactions between Ace and (Y/N).

"Soo luffy's just turned 15 this month?"

"Yea I received some letters from Makino and one from Luffy! There even was one picture look"

As (Y/N) reached into their pocket and pulled out the three papers, the letter from Makino, the letter from Luffy, and Luffy's picture, Ace's enthusiasm was evident. He eagerly snatched the papers from (Y/N)'s hands, his eyes lighting up as he looked at the picture of his little brother, Luffy.

"He grew so much!" Ace remarked with a mixture of pride and affection.

(Y/N) nodded in agreement, sharing in the sentiment. "Yeah, he did! Makino also wrote about how Luffy got stronger."

Ace chuckled, a warm smile on his face. "Heh, he may have gotten stronger, but he'll still always be our crybaby brother."

The camaraderie and shared memories between Ace and (Y/N) were evident, but for the curious Whitebeard Pirates observing from the sidelines, the scene remained perplexing. They continued to watch, wondering about the nature of the unique relationship that was between Ace and the Vice-Admiral.

The confusion aboard the Moby Dick only deepened as Ace and (Y/N) continued their conversation, casually mentioning the name "Luffy." The crewmembers couldn't help but wonder about the nature of the relationship between (Y/N) and their little brother, Portgas D. Ace.
